"Ava! Get your butt out of bed this instant!"

Ava Nymph, a 17 year old girl frowned and slowly sat up on her bed. Another day of school. Yay... (Note Sarcasm)

Silently she slips out of her bed and trudges sleepily over to her closet. Ava grabs her uniform, consisting of a grey sweater vest, a blue-ish skirt, white undershirt, blue tie, and black shoes. After she puts on her clothes with a sigh she heads downstairs to find her angry stepmother, skillet in hand. The smell of burnt bacon and eggs was enough to make Ava feel nauseous.

"Great to see you finally got your lazy butt out of bed, Ava." She says with a frown

"Sorry, Jackie." Ava smiles a halfhearted smile.

Jackie sighs. She gestures to the empty seat at the table. Ava sits down wit a Huff. At least it was Friday.

Jackie sits down across from the table and sets a plate down in front of Ava with some burnt bacon and some eggs.

"How has school been? I heard from Sadie's mom that you have a big project coming up in creative writing." Jackie states

"Eh... not that big. We just have to do some poems and then put them together into a presentation... Although it is the last project in our Poetry Unit so I guess it's kinda Important" Ava responds

"Good luck"

"Mom, You know I hate Poetry"

Jackie laughs

After eating the eggs, and some miracle, not barfing up the bacon Ava ran out the door with her stuff after a short farewell to her stepmom.

When Ava reached the school she was greeted but a familiar sight. Her best friend Sadie. And what was she doing? Flirting with boys.

With a sigh Ava quickly crosses the playground, towards her friend and some embarrassed boys.

"Come on Princess Charming" Ava says, grabbing Sadie's ear and pulling her away from the now thankful guys.

"Aaaavvvaaaa!!!!!" She complains "I think I almost got them!"

"Nope, were going to class, Sadie. You can flirt later" Ava smiles

And after a little pouting Sadie follows.

"As the Indians walked along the trail, many died. Mostly from starvation or expos-"

RRRRIIIINNNNGGGG

"Ok, class. Don't forget your essay due on Wednesday and have a great weekend!" The teacher sighs, having been interrupted from his lesson on american history.

Ava jumps from her seat with excitement. The weekend! No more school till Monday! As she grabs her stuff she is stopped when her phone buzzes in her bag. A simple text strung across the screen.

"Heeeeyyyy bby! how bout me and you 2nite? my place?"

"Stupid Ian..." Ava mumbles, rubbing her forehead

"Sorry, but no. I gotta work on this essay tonight. And I have a headache"

" :c"

Walking home wasn't so bad, except for the fact that Ava had a throbbing headache. And whether that was what caused her to walk the long way, cutting though alleyways and fields, The world may never know. And what Ava didn't know, Is the Mistake she just made, walking through that abandoned underpass.
