I Still Remember (a Niall Horan's fanfic)

Part 23

"Hi Claire" Niall finally said. I looked at his side and there was a blonde and sweet girl standing beside him. Their hands were tied. I looked at her from head to toe. 

Edmond went straight up and greeted. He hold my hand as Niall hold the girl next to him. I smiled trying to be friendly at them. 

"So... Niall" Edmond tried to start a conversation. "Who is she?" He reacted at his words, because he was looking at me surprised. 

"Oh... Her name is Maggie... I met her in a camp last year"   He looked at her with a proud smile and then looked back at me like if he had done it with bad intentions.

"Nice to me meet you Maggie" Edmond said so polite as he always was. He smiled trying to give a good impression. There was a little moment of silence. Edmond looked back at me and he notice I wasn't feeling comfortable enough to talk. He looked at me worried and turned again to Niall.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought you were out of the city." Ed continued. He smiled at them hoping Niall didn't feel offended at his words.

"Oh! Maggie is going on a little journey to see a University and since is not far away from here we decided to visit..." He said still looking at me. I was frightened. I didn't know what he was thinking. Maybe about the kiss he had seen just a moment ago.

"Nice" I said. I was trying to look at Niall, but Maggie's jealous face was too distracting so I better looked somewhere else.

"What do you think if we go tonight to watch a movie at my place? Maybe we can talk better there..." He hoped. Maggie agreed and smiled friendly at Ed. I looked at her with a killer face like trying to say 'Back off he's mine'.

Niall and Maggie went away and stopped at a little shop near the park. I tried to talk with Ed to distract me from her flirting with Niall. She was gorgeous and so delicate. I envied her. Niall always like girls like that, no longer me as I could see. Maybe she was the reason he had no time for me.

"You're liking the movie so far?"Edmond whispered on my ear so Niall and Maggie couldn't hear. He did that but it had no sense, cause they were almost kissing at our side. 

"Yeah..." I said still looking at the big screen on the room. I looked at Maggie who was giving Niall popcorn right in the mouth. I felt jealous and went up. 

"Is something wrong Claire?" Ed tried to stop me, but I went too fast. 

I leaned on the table and breathed deeply. Suddenly I felt two strong arms holding my hips. I turned my face and I saw Ed. 

"Why are you so exhausted?" He asked. I could feel how much worried about me he was. He was always like that with me, but as I could see with no other girl. 

"Is just nothing Ed..." He hold me tight and layed his head on my shoulder. I turned my face and as he came closer he kissed me passionately. His lips pressed to mine. I smiled after a long kiss and noticed that Niall was standing on the kitchen's door. 

He looked at us and come into the kitchen with two glasses like looking for something to drink. Edmond turned at me again. 

"I am sorry, where can I get water?" Niall asked looking at us impressed. Edmond looked at him and smiled. He took the water out from the refrigerator and gave it to him. He came back at me and took my hand. I thought he was going to kiss it, but he pulled me to follow him through the door to the garden. I looked back as Ed pulled me and I saw Niall, he waved his hand disappointed as he walked through the door. 

"I love you Claire... and I don't want you to be sad because of Niall..." He said a little exhausted ad he held my hand. 

"Is just that you have to understand that he was my best friend and now he barely looks at me directly... So.." I turned my face down trying to hide how disappointed I was.
