Chapter 2;

Quite different to the unopened mail I was expecting, standing at the foot of the stairs was a man around 5"8 with light milky hair, similar to mine. He wore a tight confused expression as he explored my ice work with his round grey eyes. They were intense and large, a dark pair of glittering orbs that stared deep into me.

That's when I realised just how long I'd been staring, I averted my eyes and found myself at the top of the stairs. I must have been nervous as I gripped the rail tightly, my fist turning a pale pink.

He was the first one to speak, apologising for not announcing his arrival and something about bad weather on his journey. The words went through me, I was gazing too intently at his strong jaw line.

It went quiet and I realised he had finished his introductions, I spoke with a small voice, the words crawling out of my throat very slowly, ' I'm Elsa, and you are...?'

'Jack, Jack Frost' he replied very hastily.

I met him at the bottom of the stairs, he was much paler at this angle. His skin was like a sheet and his clothes were covered in snowflakes. (Arendelle had thawed but high in the mountains it remained winter all year round.)

He removed his hood slowly, revealing a wide smile and piercing eyes, they seemed to fit on his face despite their opposing nature.

Bending down, he bowed his head, his eyes shut tightly as if preparing for my approval.

'No. Please stand up, I'm not the queen. Anna is.'

That was the first time I had said her name since my coronation. the pain hit me like an arrow, it ran through my finger tips and I pulled my gloves on tighter.

When he stood up his eyes drooped in a sorrowful expression, my words must have come across too strong. I didn't mean to sound harsh, I just don't think of myself as queen or as an example, I don't deserve it at all.

' I'm sorry e-Elsa?'

'Its said Elsa, yes. It's okay jack.'

The material of my gloves felt cold around my fingers, why was I feeling my blood fill with ice? I thought I could control my powers, but something about jack stirred the magic inside me.

'You look really cold, Come here' I lead him towards a log fire in a side room.

He sat on a large sofa and I felt him relax in my arms.

'Thank you, it's really warm. Your castle is beautiful.'

'Thank you jack, that's really sweet'

'But not as beautiful as you'

It wasn't ice that rushed through my blood but heat to my cheeks. I light up a bright pink, shrugging off his compliment with a smile.

'Im sorry jack I'm just not good with compliments, thank you though'

Silence seeped through the cracks in our conversation. Again he wore that sorrowful smile and it tore through me like a thousand needles.

'I actually came because I need your help Elsa'
