Ninjago: This is Only the Beginning

The Light

Zane's POV

Light.....

That was all I saw....

I was dead, and I was gone.....but the light was all I saw..

I should be with the others....tending to Kai's wounds, and listening to Jay making bad jokes.

But I was not...., and that was okay.

Because now I can look down, and see all of them still together. I can see them keeping my memory alive by working together, and staying one as a family..

I had made my choice to give my life for the lives of my people, and I have found my peace within myself, and with my family. Kai still has his fiery spirit, Cole is still sharp minded and strong, Lloyd's heart still shines with hope, Nya is still keeping the boys in check, and Jay....

Jay's smiled still cracks the tension within the dangers, and he has taught me something worth holding onto...

The simplest thing, such as a smile, can make the biggest difference in your life.....

I can rest in peace now, knowing that my family is in good hands, knowing that they all got each other and will make it.

" Hey, Zane..." Lloyd's voice came from the field below. " I couldn't bring you flowers today, but I brought you this."

The silver falcon was placed on the stone grave.

" I thought it was best if he stayed with you. I mean he is part of your family...I thought it seemed suiting to have your whole family with you." he smiled, glancing at Pixal's grave next to his.

The falcon had stopped working soon after my death....and now it rest with me on my gravestone next to her's.

" Lloyd?"

The blond boy turned around, and there he was....Jay.

Jay walked up to Lloyd, and couldn't help, but smiled. " You know I was planning on trying to fix that." he chuckled.

" Well, I thought it was best if it wasn't....It wouldn't be fair to the falcon if it had to go on living without his other half..." Lloyd smiled softly.

" I guess that's true....So what are you guys talking about?" he asked.

" Nothing much, I was just telling Zane about the Falcon...that's all." Lloyd sighed.

" Oh, I see....So, did you tell him about Snowflake?" Jay asked, his eyes gleaming.

" No, I didn't tell him about your cat! Geez, I should had asked why he even turned into a cat...who know it would turn you into a cat person.." Lloyd huffed in a joking voice. 

" What? Snowflake is awesome, I will teach it to play mininidroid chess!" Jay smiled proudly.

" Right..." Lloyd smiled, and looked up to the sky. " Do you think he's watching us right now?"

Jay looked up and smiled, too. " Yeah, I think he is, and I don't think he's ever going to leave us.." he smiled.

I could not help, but smile too. I looked down on the two as they continued their conversation, and felt happy.

* Zane...*

That voice?! I turned around and then I saw her. " Pixal?!" I gasped.

She walked up to me, and held out her hand. * It is time you came home...I have been waiting for you.* she smiled.

My eyes widen, and my heart felt warm. I took her hand, and as the light surrounded us, I looked down on Lloyd, Jay....and the rest of my home, Ninjago...

I knew in my heart that they were going to be just fine...

The world began to disappear, and I saw only the light, and my lost love...Pixal...

That was until I looked up and saw them....Father...Sensei...my family....

I knew that this is not the end....
