My Brother's Worst Enemy

Chapter Seven ( Jade's POV )

I could tell Milly knew more than I could even explain to her . I didn't even know where to start . My life is a mess . I laid back on my bed and looked up at my ceiling . I took a deep breath " Well Milly , for starters I miss my brother , I think i'm being watched , I think Tony is ... " She cut me off . " What mean being watched ? " I tried rushing past that part . I guess I failed . " Being watched is exactly what I mean . " I sat up and ran my hands threw my hair . " By who ? " I could tell Milly didn't know how to react to this kind of news . " Some black car , I don't know . Everytime I get home it's here . And if it's not already sitting here it pulls up right behind me . " I shrugged . " Has anyone else seen them ? " I looked up at her . " Tony ." she looked so confused . " He drove me home from school yesterday and he picked me up and dropped me off this morning . " Milly started shaking her head . " But i'm trying not to think about it like that . I don't know . " I could see Milly was at a lost for words . " Wanna talk about something else Jade ? " I nodded in agreement .

"Lemme tell youuuuuu about Tony this morning . " her face changed from uncomfortable to excited . Even though she wasn't very fond of Tony , she always respected us . " Continue don't leave out any details ! " She brought her knees up to her chest and slide back in her chair so that her feet fit on the seat . " Well , after school the other day he kind of got aggressive in the middle of the hall during dismissal . But , it wasn't anything compared to some past times . He just grabbed my wrist but by the time we pulled up at my house he got over it or whatever . " Milly looked at me like I was crazy . " Why that face ? " I asked just as she tried stopping the story . " You got in the car with him knowing he was mad at you Jade ? " she continued to look at me crazy . " Was I not supposed to do that ? " I know I sounded really stupid but I still wanted to see why wouldn't I get in his car he was my ride home . " OhMyGlob , Jade getting in his car while he was angry was probably the dumbest thing you've ever done . He was MAD , the things he has done to you before because he was mad could have been 10 times worse because you were basically trapped in his car . If he was angry enough he could have .... Just don't do that again . " she looked at me like my mom would if I did something really stupid . Then I thought about what she just said . Tony does get very handsy when hes mad . Atleast he gripped the wheel and not my arms or better yet my neck . Maybe I shouldn't do that anymore . We sat there in silence for a while , I was just thinking about that advice . " Well , are you gonna finish . I still want to now the details . " Milly asked breaking the silence and disturbing my thought process . " Oh yeah , well when we pulled up or whatever I slammed his car door cause he hates that . But basically he thinks i'm cute mad . " I found myself smiling really hard just thinking about all that hugging and kissing we did in that split second we had outside my house . " I'm guessing ya'll made up cause your cute-ness . " Milly asked looking at me with a slick smirk . " Yep , he got out the car and we stood out in the yard hugging and kissing , ya know normal teenage couple stuff . " she laughed . " Normal , in what world ? " she asked sarcasticly . I laughed because she not technically allowed to have a boyfriend . I guess i'm the only one with laid back parents . Cause none of my friends are really allowed to date but they are rule breakers so ofcourse they do it anyways . I looked down at my phone to see why my screen lit up . Alex had called twice , I looked up to tell Milly be quiet while I call back . Good thing she was already occupied in the snack bag .

I pressed Big Brody in my contacts and the phone started dialing Alex . " Hey , Alex ? " I asked when the rings stopped . " Jade ? Where are you ? " he asked panicking . I could hear his voice crack , either hes crying or nervous . " What's wrong ? I'm at home with Milly . Is everything alright ? " I heard him exhale and start talking to who I think is Jacob in the background . " Alex, you alright ? " I asked starting to worry . He usually is calm and collected when he calls but all this panicking is scaring me . " I'm fine are you ? " Alex finally answered me . " I'm great . Why wouldn't I be ? " my heart really started racing now . " Alex, this isn't funny . What is going on ? " I looked up at Milly with fear written all over my face . " What's he saying Jade ? " Milly asked dropping the snack bag and walking over to me . I put the phone on speaker . " Alex ! Why wouldn't I be good ? What is going on ? " I felt tears of all kinds of emotions swelling up . I was getting pissed off , everytime I asked him something he ignores me and talks to Jacob in the background . Milly and I sat there quiet , I can feel Milly doesn't know what to say . " Jade , I am going to call you later tonight with answers to everything . " Alex said softly into the phone . " Answers to what ? I don't even know what to ask . " I responded with a bit of an attitude . " Love you , talk to you later . " then the line went dead . Those tears that have been swelling up starting flooding my face . Milly just rested her head on my shoulder and rubbed my back . " I don't wanna tell you it's gonna be okay but you need not worry about it . You need to gather your thoughts and figure out some straight to the point questions to ask him when he calls back . Okay hun ? " Milly whispered in my ear still rubbing my back . I nodded in agreement . She always have a game plan even if she never witness what I witness she knows how to handle it best .
