She left
With the sea
I came
With the light of dayI made you happy
The brightest
I'd sayAnd when
you were down
in the bay
I came
to lift you up
with the sun raysBut then
I remembered
The moon
pulls the tides
From the darkest
parts of seaCausing the waves
to come back
every so often
it seemsI try
to grab a hold
But she has you
so tightAnd as the moon
rises up
and the tides
are in full effect
You were gone
before morningI don't know
what I expected
