I apologize for any dorkyness or whatever, I'm a bit tipsy right now but I promised Stef to write a few chapters, seriously. She wanted me to get drunk and write and shit, that irresponsible bitch (iwillloverhertilltheendoftimethoughobviouslysoyeahwahteverwhocareswoopsspellingmistakeseverywhereokbye). The song for this chapter is the piano version of She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty - Pierce The Veil and it's dedicated to @lordvoldy
Have fun reading xxo
When I was younger I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind.
He broke his own heart and I watched
As he tried to reassemble it.
And my momma swore
That she would never let herself forget.
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love, if it does not exist.
But darling, you are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
Lilith's POV:
"It truly is a miracle but no one's complaining", the doctor smiled sweetly at me. "You should make sure to not overdo it anyways though. You will have to walk with crutches for a while." I nervously chewed on my lower lip and grinned like an idiot, that grin turned into a frown within seconds though. "Can I ask You something, doc?", I muttered anxiously. "Of course, what is it?", he asked.
"I will be able to walk again without any help soon, right?", I sighed and he nodded. "So what about dancing then? Will there be a chance of me being able to practice ever again?", I murmured, sadness lingering in my voice.
The doctor didn't answer at first as if he were in deep thoughts. "You should not worry too much. I can't tell you for sure but chances are high you will", he said bluntly. My eyes widened in surprise. "How high exactly?", I asked in merely but a breath. I didn't expect that at all. To be honest, I already gave up on my whole life because I thought ballet would never be an option ever again for me.
"I'd say around seventy percent but we will have to wait how things turn out", the doctor chuckled. "It's a surprise you're legs are healed that well already but who knows, maybe the odds are in your favor for another time again", he added, gently patting my legs.
I couldn't help but smile like an idiot again. "Thank you, doctor", I murmured.
"No need to thank me. Can you walk on crutches?", the doc demanded, handing me some crotches. "I can try", I smiled sheepishly and took them. I attempted my first steps and they did turn out not too bad. "Do you think you will be okay with them? If you want to we can give you the wheelchair again until you-", the man offered but I interrupted him immediately. "No! No, thank you. I don't want to sit in that wheelchair any longer. Not even for a second", I snapped.
The doctor nodded, giving me an understanding look. "Well then, Lilith. You can go now, if there's any problem just come back. I will give you a call when I am ready to run some tests and when I will have the blood test's results, okay?", he smiled. I returned the favor and nodded. "Okay, thanks. Goodbye", I chuckled and left the room with the crutches.
Outside, a concerned looking Oliver was waiting, sitting in a chair. Once he spotted me, he immediately jumped up and walked up to me. Back there at the beach, when he got me out of the water again, we went to an hospital as quickly as possible. "What did he say?", Oli asked a bit worried.
