She puts on foot in front of the other,
Music cascading through the room,

But she hears nothing,

She's lost in her own world,

And she doesn't know what it feels like,

To be truly alive,

Except in that moment,

When the two worlds collide,
She forgets everything,

The tears fall to the floor,

Suffering doesn't exist anymore,

She dances night to day,

She slips away,

Hides from the memories,

The music fades,

And she is back again,

To the world of pain,

Reality slowing creeping in,
Bringing her to her knees,

Until the moon sets in,

And then she will begin to dance,
She will begin to forget.
