At 6:30am, 17-year-old Nicole Dawn Henderson slides out of her king sized bed in her beautiful huge room and onto her feet. She sluggishly makes her way to her bathroom where her day begins, Nicole shakily applies enough makeup to split among five people to hide how sickly she looks, she quickly brushes through her bleach blonde hair, and throws on an oversized sweater and a pair of black leggings. She heads downstairs to her kitchen where her family is eating breakfast.
"Nicole?" her mother says. "Would you like to join us for breakfast?"
Nicole looks down hastily at her family gathered around the dining table enjoying breakfast.
"No I'm gonna get to school early today, so, I can finish a test."
"Okay, are you sure?" replies her mother nervously , "We made your favorite: pancakes and scrambled eggs."
"I'm fine, mom"
"Okay" her mother replies, "Just be sure to eat at school."
She quickly nods and rushes out the door. For her 16th birthday, Nicole was originally given an old Volkswagen beetle, but, she wanted a red camaro so badly she screamed and complained until her parents agreed to buy her one. She has a reputation for getting everything she wants. She gets into her car, and drives around her neighbourhood until her parents and, sister leave. Then she parks right back in front of her house. Nicole has done this every day for a very long time, she pretends to go to school early, comes home, and continuously eats all the food she can (without her parents noticing) and throws it all back up.
Nicole has had eating disorders and body issues ever since her mother allowed her to read beauty magazines. She was filled with all of these ideas of perfect, tall, and slim models (with an amount of makeup on that is only appropriate for a clown.) These things made her feel horrible about herself, every time she notices that she has gained weight she would cut her arm with razors (to try to punish herself) and wear long sleeves to hide it. Her family found out about all of these problems that Nicole has, and they think they fixed it, what they didn't know is that she still purge eats and cuts herself.
They found out that she still did these things after finding her crying on their bathroom floor with blood dripping down her arm and, her head hung over the toilet when she was 14. After her parents found her there they took her to the doctor where they found out about all of her body disorders and was diagnosed with bulimia, so her parents shut everything down, she was no longer allowed social media of any kind and, she couldn't read anymore of her magazines. Being shut off like this put Nicole into a state of depression, for weeks she would hide in her room reading Junie B. Jones books (the only thing her mother allowed her to read) and still refused to eat. The problem became so serious that her parents took her to the doctor again and, they prescribed depression pills, weight gaining pills, and, a therapist. They also gave her back her social media rights. Nicole seemed as if she was getting better after all of this and in her depression state she was, but after cutting and throwing up for so long it became a habit that made her feel better about herself.
After Nicole finishes purge eating, she reapplies even more makeup, gets back into her car, and goes to school. Her school is only a few blocks away so it surprises her teacher when she claims to be late because of traffic.
"I was stuck in traffic" Nicole argues
Nicole goes to one of those overpriced fancy public schools in a huge city, with gates blocking off a lot of the area to the public, so the chances of traffic were not likely.
"I'm going to have to give you a tardy Ms.Henderson" Nicole's short and old teacher replies.
Nicole groans and rolls her eyes then makes her way to her assigned seat in the back of her class. Nicole's first hour is Algebra 2 class. She despises math. Nicole barely pays attention to the whole lesson and spends the whole time talking to her friends. Most of the people in Nicole's school greatly envy her, she is one of the most popular girls in her school always surrounded by boys and being invited to every party.
"Did you finish the chemistry homework?" asked Nicole's friend Michelle.
"Crap, I forgot" replies Nicole, "let me copy yours?'
Michelle rolls her eyes and hands over her paper. Nicole mouths thank you and slides the paper under her desk. Most everyone except for Nicole knows how irresponsible she is. Nicole claims that she is just forgetful, but, everyone else knows that responsibility is not her thing.
The bell rings and startles Nicole, she heads to her breakfast hour where the smell of eggs, (what she previously threw up) makes her gag. Rather than staying in the cafeteria she makes her way to her next hour, her P.E class. Nicole doesn't workout and she isn't athletic at all, but, she took P.E so, she could have a class where she could do nothing. Her next few classes co by really quickly and then she has lunch. Nicole goes to lunch with her friends and doesn't eat, but the smell and sight is enough to make her gag. After her lunch she has science and English for her last hours.
In science she made a bad grade on her homework. As a result of her copping her friend.
"Ms.Henderson," said her science teacher, "I need you up here."
"Yes," Nicole replied looking down at her worn yellow shoes.
"You're failing, you have a 65 in my class."
"I'll get it taken care of," Nicole said even though they both knew she wouldn't. In her English class it is a reading day so, she doesn't do that much.
After school Nicole goes shopping with her friend, Michelle. After shes buys enough clothes to be a half of a normal girls whole wardrobe. She and, Michelle talk as Nicole drives her home.
"Did you hear that Lauren is mad at you?" Michelle says.
"Lauren hates everyone," Nicole argues, "She even hates you and you guys were friends in middle school."
Michelle said, "To be honest, I think she hated me when we were friends then too."
After they're done shopping, They laugh as Nicole drops her off. When Nicole gets home she watches her favorite movie Mean Girls, when she should be doing homework. At around 7:00 she gets a phone call from her older sister.
"I need you to pick me up from behind the school," her sister says before Nicole was even given a chance to say hello.
"What's wrong with you car?" Nicole replies
"I lended it to Josh." (Josh being her irresponsible drug addict boyfriend.)
"I have already given you a ride twice this week, and i'm busy." Nicole says as she glances up at her t.v.
"Please?" asks her sister.
"Fine." Nicole replies and hangs up.
When Nicole gets to the back of the school she sees her sister surrounded by a bunch of older scarier looking people. Nicole honks her horn and sees her sister startle. Nicole can tell that her sister is high, she has seen the symptoms.
"Thanks little sis." Nicole's sister replies as she slumps down into her car.
"You smell like smoke." Nicole replies
"That's the beauty of perfume my lovely little sister."
Nicole rolls her eyes and pulls out of the driveway. When they get home Nicole's sister has fallen asleep in the car.
"WAKE UP!" Nicole yells.
Nicole's sister gives her a nasty look and gets out of car. Nicole shortly follows.
"You guys are late for dinner." Nicole's mom says as her and, her sister walk through the door.
"Sorry." Nicole replies as she glances at her sister who has already laid down on the couch.
Nicole picks at her dinner for the whole meal and when she's eaten enough to get past her mom she goes up stairs and pretends to be sleeping.
When all of her family has gone to sleep Nicole sneaks downstairs. She does what she does almost every night and, she eats a mountain of food and goes up to her bathroom. She throws it all up, flushes the toilet, goes back to her room, and falls asleep.
