Chapter Two: Meeting A New Friend.

A/N: Hey guys, sorry for not updating in ages but I have been super super busy with basketball and drama. I will still be busy with basketball and such, so expect slow updates. Enjoy :-)!

*beep-beep-beep*

My alarm is going of but I'm to lazy to shut it off.

"Mackenzie!" My mother calls from down the hall.

"Time to get up! You've gotta go for your run!"

I finally have the energy to roll over and turn off my alarm clock. I yank my blanket off of me and slowly get up. I pull my hair back into a nice high ponytail, and put on my baggy basketball shorts and my dad's old high school shirt.

As I am walking down the hallway. I can hear my mom singing a song, I can't really make out what she is singing until I get closer. She is singing "Bye Bye Bye" by *NSYNC.

I walk in to the kitchen and she is dancing in her fluffy white and green striped bath robe.

I tip toe behind and pinch her waist. She jumps a little followed by a little squeal.

I start laughing uncontollably.

"You scared me you little shit!" she says while she put her hand over her heart, and starts laughing with me.

"You should have seen your face!" i say pointing at her still laughing.

"Yeah, yeah don't you have a run to do?" she says with a teasing tone.

"No not really." I say walking to the front door to put on my runners.

I just finnished tying my last shoe then there is a knock at the door. I go to open it but they just walk in.

"TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! THERE'S A TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!" as soon as the person is done screaming that there is a body laying infront of me.

I start laughing once again noticing the person laying infront of me.

"Well, good morning to you too Carter." I say while picking him up off of the ground.

Yes. Carter is a boy. He has also been my best friend ever since I can remember. He just turned 18 by the way. He has that old Justin Bieber hair going on but its dark brown. Carter is practically the most popular boy at school, and I'm like an inbetweener. Like im not popular but I'm not a total loser. Carter has the most beautiful eyes ever! They are a nice hazel color. He is also the captain of the basketball, volleyball, swimming, and soccer team at school. He is like a god when it comes to sports.

The only sport I play is basketball. FYI I'm the captain of the school team aswell. Well the girls team anyways.

Carter is also very tall, he's like 6'4 or 6'5. I dont know his exact height i dont stalk him. One thing I know about carter is that he is not ready to settle down with a girl. You can say he is kind of a man whore? I don't know. He sleeps with alot of girls.

There was this one chick though that he really really liked in grade ten. I think her name was Sarah Hoffman? Well anyways long story short, he was "in love with her" the dated for a couple months, he caught her cheating with Brad Morgan, and he broke up with her.

He never been in another relationship after that, he was absolutely devastated. I delt with an emotionally wrecked Carter for 3 weeks! Do you know how hrad that is!? He wouldn't eat or drink for like 3 days, and when he finally started to it was barely anything. I never want to go back there again.

"You are aware that it is indeed five thirty in the morning and you are screaming around." I ask to him while walking to the fridge.

"Oh why I do know it is five thirty in the morning. I also know that we are late for our run so we best be off 'Big Mac' or we shall be late."
