Cameron was coming over to meet your parents for the first time. He was nervous. He usually wasn't nervous about meeting new people. He meets new people everyday doing MAGCON. So you didn't really understand why meeting your parents was going to be any different.
He pulled into your driveway and walked up to the door and knocked. You run over to the door and opened. He stood there smiling and handed your a bouquet of flowers. You so knew he was trying to make an amazing impression on your parents. You whispered to him, "You didn't need to do this, they aren't judgmental people you know that." You hugged him and walked into the kitchen with him.
Your parents were standing there having a conversation. "Mom, dad, this is Cameron." You smiled and grabbed a vase from under the sick and filled it with water and put the flowers in it. Cameron shook your parents hand and was quiet. Not himself to say the least.
"So you love my daughter and you treat her right?" Cameron just simply nodded. "You would never hurt her right?" Cameron looked at you. "I would never think of hurting your daughter sir. She means too much to me." He smiled. He lit up when he said that. It was like you were his whole world.
You had dinner with your family and your parents spent the whole night asking Cameron questions about himself and your relationship. Cameron lightened up after a little bit and that's when you could tell your parents loved him. Your dad and him joked around just like Cameron would joke around with the boys.
Later that night you went to your room with Cameron. You cuddled in your bed under the covers and put on a movie. "My dad really likes you Cam." You smiled and kissed his cheek. "I told you everything was going to be okay. You had nothing to worry about. You will never have anything to worry about with my family. They are accepting and they will always take you in and accept you for who you are."
"I know I just thought that since I travel all the time and am always gone they wouldn't like me for you. I just hate that I have to leave you and I think any parents would feel the same way about their daughters boyfriend leaving him to go meet millions of girls and that's why I was scared. But I hope you know none of them girls will ever mean half as much as you mean to me babe."
You couldn't help but smile because you knew it was true. No matter how many girls he met. No matter how many times he left. You two would always love each other as much as you did the first day. You had a connection that most people wouldn't be able to have under the circumstances. But somehow it worked with you two and it made you feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
He held you tight in his arm and rubbing up and down your arm. Your dad peaked into the room. You looked over and waved at him. "Thank you for keeping my daughter happy Cameron. Just never hurt her. My wife and I are going out for the night. Don't do any funny business." He shut the door behind him and him and your mother left.
You guys watched a movie but got bored halfway through it. Cameron started tickling you to make you smile. He knew you hated being tickled but he knew it would make you squirm and smile and he loved that. You squealed and looked at him. "Cameron stooop!" You begged at him. But he didn't and you knew he wouldn't. You tired to tickle him back but there was no use. He had won this tickle war.
A few minutes later he stopped and pulled you back into him. "Stop running away from me I don't like it. I want you right here. Next to me. Not on the other end of the bed running away from me." He teased you and you couldn't help but laugh. "Well maybe if someone wasn't TICKLING MEE." He smiled and tickled you once and stopped.
He planted a kiss on your lips and pulled away slowly. "I love you babe."
