****Ryan's pov ****
I slowly walked up to the doctor , while Jordan and Danielle stared at me . He walked me into the halls .
"Mr.Nugent-Hopkins ...I am afraid I have some bad news " he spoke
"Is Haley going to be okay ?" I asked
"The bullet damage one ventricle that's attached to Haley's heart , despite our best efforts we couldn't save it , she has a artificial tube right now but without a heart donor she doesn't have that long . "
The tears started falling from my face . "when will she get a donor . "
"I don't know , only time can tell . She is still sleeping but she's in the her own private room upstairs on the 3 floor , there we can measure her heart rate and mark her progress "
He gave me the room number on a piece of paper . I thanked him and shook his hand . I walked back into the waiting room where Danielle and Jordan were . I had tears running down my face . Danielle ran up to me , and gave me a hug.
"What's wrong with Haley " Jordan asked
"They don't know how much longer she has to live " I said trying to hold in the tears .
No one said a word .
We slowly walked upstairs to Haley's room . There I saw Haley laying down in the white bed with tubes connected to her . I walked to her side , took her hand and started to cry . I heard the door shut assuming Danielle and Jordan left the room .
"Haley" I said squeezing her hand " I love you " I had tears running down my face . " Haley I don't know if you can hear me" I went closer to her face. " but I want you to know that I have never loved anyone as much as I love you .... Haley you make me the happiest person alive . I can't lose you , you're my life . I found my soul and I found it in you , you are my happiness . Haley please don't leave me here please I need you Haley don't leave . "
*****Danielle's pov *****
I couldn't take seeing Haley like that I just couldn't I ran out of Haley's room and Jordan followed . Just outside of the door Jordan held me in his arms .
"Shh , it's going to be okay" he spoke softly . I just couldn't keep it in anymore I just stood in his arms and cried . I could tell he was shaded a tear too .
I couldn't help but feel this is my fault , Haley said that the creep was texting her and I should have said something about the guy watching us way before.
Ryan came into the hallway with bloodshot eyes . there was no words spoken we only hugged . Jordan , Ryan and I stood in the hallway for a good ten minutes of nothing but hugging .
We all walked into her room , she was awake . You could tell she was weak .
"Haley , how's it going ? " I asked here
"Meh , what did the doctor say " she said struggling with her words , she knew something wasn't alright .
We all looked at each other . Ryan had tears in his eyes .
"They said you'll be better and be out soon "his voice cracked . "you need you're rest though ... " she tried to nod her head and she closed her eyes . I started to crying thinking of the fact that , that might be the last time I would ever hear her talk .
Haley is my best friend I don't know what I'll do without her , she's the one I trust more than Jordan or my parents , I come to her for advice for everything . She's my other half .
We walked outside of her room with tears all in our eyes .
"Why didn't you tell her the truth , you are giving her false hope , you are plan out lying to her what's that going to do ?" Jordan asked
"I don't want her living with no hope . If she is told she's going to die she will believe it . If she is told she'll live than be have to pretend that too . I will not let her die and I will serially not let her die sad . " He said with a passion
We walked back into the waiting room . They have one on the third floor too . After a couple of minutes I finally spoke "are we going to tell Taylor and Tianna ?"
"Yeah I can do that I'll phone them " Ryan said as he stood up and left .
*****Jordan's pov *****
Haley is like a sister to me . I know everyone is upset about this but I think I need to be strong not only for Danielle but for Haley too . Ryan is right if she loses hope then there's no chance , we have to believe and make her believe too . I don't know what I snapped when I asked him why he lied I just didn't know how to react to all of this .
Ryan came back into the waiting room .
"They're on there way over" he said looking at his phone .
"Do they know everything" I asked
"Yeah , they said that we just got to keep hoping and holding on "
" Ryan I just want to apologize for yelling at you earlier "
" It's okay everyone's a little stress , don't sweat about it . " he said . He sat back down .
We were on our phones waiting for Taylor and Tianna to get here so we can all talk about this . It was about 3 o'clock and I think everyone was stressed and tired .
Taylor and Tianna came into the waiting area . Tianna greeted Danielle with a hug and they started talking and crying . Taylor came over to Ryan and I .
"Dude , I am sorry to be so up front but what are we going to do " he asked Ryan
" I am going to do what I think is best and I think that is to keep her unaware of what's happening to keep her hopes alive while they can . " He responded .
Taylor nodded .
We all just sat around till visiting hours were over . Once in a while we would all go into Haley's room to see how she was doing and every time if she was awake we told her to go back to bed , but the last time was different .
"Hey Haley " Tianna said
"Hi " she replied
"How's it going "
"Why are you guys acting weird , is there something your not telling me " she struggled with her words .
"Nope Haley it's just visiting times are over and we have to go back to the house , Ryan is going to stay because they gave him a room to stay in , now go back to bed you need you're sleep to get better " Danielle said
Haley gave everyone in the room a weird look and you could tell that she knew we were lying , but she was too weak to make us say something different .
Danielle , Taylor , Tianna and I all left the hospital and went home . Everyone was pretty bummed so we all just went to bed .
