I pushed these feelings aside, leaving his room soon after Tommy did as I have left the picture on the desk. I still felt different, confused with my own feelings and thougths as I went down the stairs into the living room, where my family was. It took me some time to calm myself sown in front of them all, feeling relieved to see my brother and my sister there, with my parents. Oddly enough, they calmed me down. Mostly Aiden, as he knew how to take care of my anxious-self quite much. Even that black-haired bastard that tends to annoy me much keeps up with me, and I couldn't be more thankful.

Lizzy had always been there to take care of me as a loving sister, always offering me her shoulder to cry on. I took care of her as much as I could, both in school and at home. We both needed eachother back then as we do now, however Liz is becoming more independant as days go by. She's growing into a fine woman.

"Laura!" Her loud voice soon caught my attention as she walked over me, holding some candy that she probably took from the glass bowl on the coffee table. "You have to try these. They are so good."

"Says the sugar addict that finds every piece of candy good." Aiden soon came after her as he tucked his hands deep in his pants' pockets. He seemed to slowly grow into a fine man himself.

"I'm serious." Liz whined back at him as she softly stuffed the candy into my mouth. It had a soursweet taste to it, yet the cream inside hijacked my taste buds and I felt high. It was so good.

"Where did you get this?" I soon asked as my eyes widened, quickly glancing at the wrapping paper that the piece of candy was wrapped in. It had an unfamiliar brand name, but hell, it's now my favourite.

"Tommy gave it to me." She chirped happily before turning sideways and pointing at the glass bowl on the coffee table. I was right. I couldn't help but smile, leaning inwards to take more.

Soon the glass bowl was snatched away from me as the man spun himself around, holding the bowl above his head. It was Tommy that was playing jokes on me, but he looked way better than he did few minutes ago. How, though? I couldn't help but scowl at the taller brunette, jumping on the tips of my toes to grab the glass bowl from his hands, but it was of no use. He's a gigant anyways.

"As a model you should maintain your weight, shouldn't you?" He mocked me loudly, catching me frowning even more as I stood still.

"It's not like I can't have sugar in my life." I whined loudly with my arms crossing just below my breasts, focusing more onto the man in front of me. I could hear my siblings laugh behind me along with Lucas.

"But I'm sure you'd lose your job if you added another pound or two."He inched closer to my face in another mocking manner. This time he was too close. In a second matter I softly 'stabbed' the side of his belly with my fingers, causing the man to crouch down with me snatching the glass bowl from my hands.

"I'm sure you'd lose all the fame you have in the town if you keep these on your coffee table, now wouldn't you?" I softly hummed into his ear before pulling away, hugging the glass bowl before made my way back to Liz. "Write one point for me."

"You got it." The brunette girl smiled widely before snatching the same candy we both ahd previously, and Aiden only shook his head in a disappointing manner. "Guess I'll be joining you on your morning run tomorrow.." He seemed to take sides with Tommy as he mocked me as well, catching me glaring daggers at the dark haired man with him throwing his arms up in surrender. "Or not. Guess you're fine just the way you are." He laughed before softly pinching my cheek and shaking my head. It didn't hurt as much, but it didn't feel nice. Tommy just laughed behind me.

The evening went as smoothly as I could've expected. As usual, both families took turns on Just Dance, me winning against Tommy every single time and Liz spending time with Lucas. Yet, we all did as much as we could. I couldn't help but pity the young man as he was stuck in a wheelchair when he was so young.. He must be depressed, but he keeps smiling all the time. Must be a good liar.

However, things turned tables when we all went outside to spend time in the backyard. Most of us were playing football and our parents were gossiping about things, but then me and Tommy got called out to drive to the store and buy some ice and peppermints. For some reason. I don't know why they wanted peppermints. But both of us didn't object and we jsut happily jumped into his jeep and drove off.

It was a lovely sunset, right before the dinner we were supposed to have. We were jamming loudly to random songs that came on the radio, occasionally having huge laughing fits to my lip-syncing and his actual singing, which wasn't so bad, honestly. I was slightly wishing we would forget his troubles and problems for a moment there, yet I was certain he did due to the loud laughing he had going on.

We arrived to Walmart about 5 minutes after leaving, as the closest food job was just this one. As ordered, we were grabbing bags of ice and several other bags of candy. I have no idea why pepermints, but I guess Tommy's father was into minty candy and he was running low? Eh, if only I knew the actual reason. Just makes me feel curious even more.

While stuck in the line, my eyes barely caught the glimse of somethig familiar, but soon I realized that for our luck Elijah was here too. This is a small town anyways. My eyes drifted up the messy boy's hair that was set in the most unnatural way, having few strands poking out with some pressed tight on his forehead. However, he was dressed neatly, having a pair of black shades set on his nose bridge and pulled in front of his eyes. He had some beer in his one hand while his other hand was playing around with his black leather wallet, slightly parted for later use.

As soon as he noticed us he seemed to grin widely, slowly 'dancing' his way towards us before spinning and skipping behind Tommy, who was standing behind me. From up-close he really looked like he was about to go to a party. Wonder where?

"Sup, homies." He only greeted us in a most casual way that he could, only pulling his shades a little down his nose to glance at me and wink slightly. I only chuckled at the sight, slowly turning to the blonde more with my eyes setting on Tommy's troubled expression. But he seemed to force a smile, turning to glance at the blonde.

"Woah, where are you heading?" Tommy soon questioned as he noticed the outfit he was wearing, causing Elijah to pull his shades off from his nose and let them hang on the collar of his white shirt.

"There's a party going on at my place. We ran out of beer so I managed to grab a few from here. Will be heading a little further for more." Elijah tugged his hand up to show the bottles he got, causing me to smile in a slight habit before  I was forced to turn around and step down the line that was now clear for us. The ice that we took was slowly melting, thus I began to worry if we'll make it before we get back home.

"You should come too. It'll be more fun." Elijah added after a short pause, his eyes directly set on me.

"We're having a family dinner tonight." Tommy soon spoke, paying for the ice and the candy as he took the ice bags tight in his hands, slowly walking away.

"Come on, Tommy, it'll be fun." Elijah soon whined, payed for the beer before saying the cashier a quiet 'thanks' before running after the tall brunette. "What do you think, Laura?" He soon turned at me, catching a short eye-contact before I was telepathically forced to glance at Tommy.

"I guess it would be a cool idea." I smiled at both of them, catching Tommy's even more troubled expression. He seemed to want to object, but Elijah soon shushed him with his finger pressing tightly on Tommy's lips.

"The lady said it. I'll be waiting for you then." Elijah spoke in a cheerful tone, soon entering his car and driving off into the opposite direction of the neighborhood. Tommy turned at me with a slight frown on his expression, but he didn't say anything, nor he did the whole way back to the house.
