Ch.8 It's Complicated

Because I need to share this with the world i must tell you all a story...that really happened. So my ex "best friend", Anthony, gave up my friendship to date this girl called Kandice. True Story lol. I can't lie. I cried. I cried in school, I cried at home, hell, I even cried while reading a book because that's how much i cared for him as a friend. And it made me sad to think that i wasn't enough for him. Now it just makes me angry thinking about it. I realized that, When you really want to see someone you can never find them, but when you don't want to see that "someone" you see them everywhere, everyday. So that was a month or so ago.

But guess what? She broke up with him a couple of weeks ago for her ex boyfriend, then broke up with her ex to date this other guy that she is currently with. When i saw her and her new bf...I giggled. Yes GIGGLED. Why you ask? Because he left me for her. HA!!!! What goes around comes around. :)

You all remember that now.

P.S- I know I didnt warn about the sex in the last chapters but I did rate it as restricted...just saying. Anyway, there is also cursing words, a little vulgarity, and taking the lords name in vain(for all of you that believe in him) *not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that...I promise*. Hehe like godammit. You have been warned.

"Are you following me?" I cocked my hip playfully,grinned and fought not to inhale his scent. I doubted anyone wanted a show.

Liam's eyes narrowed in suspicion, "What the devil are you doing here?"

Damn him. Now as i fought the hurt bubbling inside me, my mind raced trying to find a reasonable explanation.

"Truth is," I felt an arm go around my shoulders, "she saved my life."

It was amazing how quick Liam moved. In a second he had Niku by the neck and growling in his face. "She's mine."

"Liam!" Igasped and flailed my arms not knowing what to do but at the same time my hurt was replaced by warmth.

Just then Roi came rushing out of nowhere and boxed Liam's ears. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Men were so territorial. Liam was holding onto Niku with one hand now and the other was blocking Roi's blows. Poor Niku was turning blue! I stepped in between them, caught Liam's fist in one hand and pushed Roi back with the other.

People gasped and that's when I realized that we had an audience. I stepped away from both men disgusted and turned to Liam. "Let. Him. Go."

His eyes darkened, held my gaze and, thankfully,his hand slowly dropped down to his side and Niku fell to his hands and knees, choking and dry heaving. I rushed to him as he tumbled onto his back, "Are you okay? I'm so sorry!"

"Sorry for what? It's not like he's your husband or something."

I chewed my lip in guilt, "About that...well...he is."

He sat straight up, eyes blazing with anger, "You lied to me!" he started choking and managed to wheeze out, "I could've...put my...family in danger!"

I fought for patience, "Don't be such a Drama Queen. Liam would never hurt your family." I stood up and eyed the spectators, "Or anyone else's."

They started to murmur and i left to let them mull it over. "Damn untrusting liars and thieves." I mumbled to myself as I walked back inside the tent and grabbed Mikah who was enjoying the show.

"You know what? I liked it better when you spoke all cryptically." I snapped.

Can't always get what you want.

"But I can sure as hell try."
