Thump. Thump. Thump. The ache was getting worse and worse.
"Cassie? Cassie?" Jade snapped her fingers. "Come on Cassie, answer my question."
"Miss...I don't think that's helping.." Doris whispered.
"Jade. Please, stop!" Nate pleaded.
Jade turned back to look at them. "She needs to answer-"
And that's when I snapped completely.
***********
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed, pushing past Jade. I headed towards Nate's bedroom, my only sanctuary in this place.
Doris' worried eyes met mine. I begged silently with my eyes for her to leave. She did so, quickly & quietly.
Jade put a hand on my shoulder. "Cassie, in order for you to make progress you need to-"
I whirled around to face her. "Well Jade, I honestly think YOU need to SHUT UP!"
It infuriated me further when her calm expression didn't flicker.
I let out a frustrated sob and stomped towards Nate's bedroom.
Nate's emerald orbs met my bright green ones. He held out his hands pleadingly. "She's just trying to help", the movement said.
Suddenly I hated him more than anything.
"You," I growled, jabbing his muscular chest with my finger. "You are the reason my mother suffers everyday. You are the reason I have nightmares every night. You are the reason I am here in this place. You are an asshole. You. Are. A. Monster."
His eyes were like windows into his soul. I could see Anger. Hurt. And betrayal.

Flashback- Year 5I peer out from my hiding place behind a scraggly bush. There is a large group of young boys not far from me.
A tall black-haired kid is trying to say; "I don't want to.." but kids keep taunting him.
A blond kid, the leader of the 10 year olds, shoves something into the kids face.
Cigarettes.
"I don't want to.." The tall pale kid repeats.
The young boy sneers. "Worried your mum is gonna find out?"
The kids surrounding them whisper ; "Mummy's boy...Mummy's boy.."
The blond kid continues. "Don't worry though, your mum is too wasted to notice..Wasted....Wasted..." It echoes around the area.
The taller kid snatches the cigarettes. His hair covers his face but I can tell he's examining them. "You sure it's okay?"
The blond boy scoffs but I can tell he's pleased. "My parents smoke these all the time..."
Kids whisper. "Your parents are so cool..So cool..." I can see the blond boys ego swelling.
The tall kid straightens up a bit. "Yeah, well, my mum smokes and drinks."
He rips the packet open. Other kids around him do the same.
No.....
"Go on...Do it.." Kids whisper eagerly.
No...No...
"I'm cool as well." The tall kid says, lifting the now lighted cigarette to his mouth.
I stand up from behind my hiding place. "NO!"
Kids hurriedly stuff lighters and cigarettes into their pockets. The leader turns, his pale blue eyes scanning the area.
They lock onto me and narrow.
"It's okay," He sneers to the group. "It's just a girl."
The tall kid doesn't meet my eyes when the leader pokes him and says; "Do you know her?"
The tall kid, my friend, mutters something inaudible.
"What?" The blond kid says dramatically, holding a hand to his ear.
The group look at my friend expectantly. So do I.
The tall boy meets my eyes with cold dark green ones. "No."

I'm sorry it's short & boring & stupid & rushed, I'm tired (it's 9:30pm, not the ideal writing time) but it had to be done!
While I was on holiday I wrote a chapter, with long-ness & edited-ness, but for sone reason it didn't save.
So when I got home back to wifi so i could publish it, only to find it hadn't saved, I had a massive rage at Wattpad and vowed silently to forget about my story for awhile.
I'm sorry!!!!
I'm also sorry FC that your character was like that, (Doris & Nat ur turn will come) but it had to be done!
I will be making a character for Melissa (I think it was who wanted one), I can't guarantee what age they will be or when they will appear, but hopefully it won't be too many centuries away.
You guys all need to thank Melissa for shouting on iMessage & making a terrified MeepGirl hurriedly type this chapter up.
I apologise if nothing I just wrote in this update made sense, I'll probably check in the morning and have a massive facepalm!
Enough rambling;
MEEEEEP!
