Her face I see I think I know;
Her eyes gaze back filled with sorrow.
Her hopeful heart still beats today,
but still she waits to hear the crow
For her the skies are always gray.
She prays to see the days of May.
She tries to keep her head held high;
She hopes she'll be okay someday.
Today she cannot say goodbye,
No matter how much she yearns to fly.
She knows many people would care.
So until that day she will try.
To cry she will not even dare,
For she cannot show her despair.
She is thought of to be a soldier;
Telling would make her father's heart tear.
She waits patiently for when she is older,
for highschool is treating her colder.
The rumors are spreading like the black plague
"You're such a whore" they told her.
Even though life has been a long drag;
And she feels she is treated like a rag,
She will not yet raise her white flag,
She will not yet raise her white flag..
