‘Daisy!’ Harry yelled at the bottom of the stairs, his husky voice echoing and bouncing off the walls into my ears. ‘Yeah I’m coming!’ I yelled, searching my room for my shoes and purse, I was always late, I couldn’t find my purse anywhere. ‘Fuck it’ I muttered to myself, turning around and running down the stairs catching the glance of Harry who I smiled widely at admiring the outfit he was wearing. ‘Looking for this?’ He asked holding up my black purse I had spent the last 15 minutes looking for. I noticed he was wearing a blazer again, which he suited, he looked good in it. I also noticed he was wearing a navy blue striped shirt underneath, I shook my head at him, ‘Louis won’t approve, Haz, I suggest you go and change before he murders you’ Harry shook his head at me, ‘Lou loves me Daisy!’ he remarked, handing me my purse and walking towards the door, ‘Hurry up! They’re already in the car’ He yelled at me, looking at me standing on the bottom stair, a little too obviously admiring him. ‘Settle down’ I remarked, walking past him and out the door letting out a sigh. I looked terrible, I wasn’t pleased with my outfit. I had a dress on which wasn’t my colour, well I didn’t think so, Danielle on the other hand seemed to think different. My hair was up, which I hated, I felt less confident when it wasn’t down. It was in a slightly fancy up do which Danielle had also suggested, she told me I was going to make a great impression on Harry, which again was a total fail, he didn’t even seem to acknowledge me as I tried to walk down the stairs as gracefully and elegantly as I could, I never once saw his eyes make contact with me. This night was going to be a disaster. We were celebrating none other than Niall Horan’s 19th Birthday, which was the only reason I was going, because of Niall, he was my very best friend.
I wanted to try and impress Harry tonight, I wanted him to actually notice me, to acknowledge my existence for longer than 10 seconds. If you hadn’t already gathered, I had a rather large crush on Mr Styles. The only person that knew was Danielle, who I was extremely close to and I got to see a lot of her, considering I lived with Niall, which is Liam’s best mate therefore Liam is always there, with Danielle. I didn’t technically tell her about the whole Harry situation, she figured that out herself. She had a way of doing things like that, she was very smart, very pretty too, Liam was lucky. As for Niall, I wasn’t 100% sure if he knew or not, he probably did, but didn’t bring it up because he would of known the way I would react, that boy knows me very well, better than myself to be honest. I’ve known Niall since I was born, our parents are best friends. We were born 2 months apart, which gave us time to bond from an early age, a very early age. I’ve always been there for Niall, and for as long as I can remember, he’s done the exact same for me.
I remember the day he told me he was going to audition for the X factor, I tackled him to the ground with a hug and demanded to be in line waiting with him, which was an offer he couldn’t refuse. It was the first time I had ever heard him sing, I can still remember standing at the side of the stage seeming almost as nervous as he was. I was like a proud mother standing there watching him sing, I was so excited for him. I remember giving him a giant hug when I realised he had gotten through, and everything just grew from there, I was surprised to know he would end up being in a boy band. I went to every one of their performances, cheering Niall on from the front row at every performance with his mother and my own. I met the boys not long after their first performance, I’ve been part of their lives ever since.
‘DAIS!’ Danielle yelled at me, pulling away from Liam’s grip and running over to me, she looked flawless in what she was wearing. ‘Hi Danielle’ I said, putting on a smile for her. She pulled me away from the others who were all piling into the car. ‘So?’ she asked me with a fanatical smile on her face, ‘Did he compliment you yet!?’ I shook my head disappointingly, ‘of course he didn’t, he never even acknowledges my existance’ Danielle’s eyebrows knotted together, I could tell she was thinking. ‘Hey Harry!’ Danielle asked curiously, poking her head into the car, ‘Do you have a car?’ she questioned, giving him her best smile. Harry raised an eyebrow at her, ‘Erm, yes, I thought you knew that, why?’ Danielle smirked at him again, ‘There isn’t enough room in here for Dais, could you take her?’ Another cunning smirk arose from Danielle’s face, as she turned to me and then back to Harry; I was going to kill her for making it so obvious. I stood there awkwardly on the sidewalk next to the parked limo, seeing nothing but Danielle’s body as she was still discussing with Harry. ‘Come on mate’ I heard Liam request, he and Danielle were both ‘on my side’ now. I heard Harry grunt, before Danielle moved out of the way giving me an open mouth smile and a small thumbs up, she was definitely making it way too obvious.
Harry climbed out of the limo and pulled out his keys from his pocket, looking up at me for a milisecond, turning on the ball of his foot walking towards his Range Rover, expecting me to follow. Danielle glared faintly at Harry as she was climbing in the car and taking Harry’s place; she gave me a sorrowful look and signalled me to go follow, ‘Go get him!’ She whispered with a smile, I let out an ‘mm’ raising my eyebrows and following Harry to his car, feeling some what disappointed that he hadn’t laid eyes on me for more than a split second, especially since I was so done up for him, not that he even noticed that.
