Another kind of love

Chapter 1

"Hailey ! "

"Hailey wake up you're gonna be late ! " mom shouted from downstairs. I rubbed my eyes as I slowly came to realization. Last night was a long stressful night , packing away all my stuff is kind of a scary thing to do.

OH SHIT
Today's the day I'm finally going, finally escaping from this place . For years I've lived in this small town I call home and today I feel more than ready to leave it behind. This is it today I'm going to start chasing my dreams and I'm so scared ...

I don't really know what the hell I think I'm doing but it's to late to stop now .

I rushed out of my room and quickly hopped in the shower. I shivered as the water hit my skin . " You've got to be kidding me " I sighed as I realized that there's no more hot water left . Fully aware that I have no choice I got back into the shower .

It took me a record time of several minutes to wash my hair and body and then I got out and strutted into my room . I got dressed in some black leggings and a maroon sweater , braided my hair into a ponytail and put on a little bit of makeup.

I packed my bag the night before , so I was ready to go.

As I walked down the stairs I was greeted with the most amazing smell. Moms famous waffles.
I practically ran down the stairs as the excitement of eating started to rise . I miss my moms cooking already .

Mom drove me to the airport after I said my goodbyes to dad . The airport was about an hour away from my house and in that period of time I got to bond with my mom .

"Are you sure you have your passport?" My mother asked for the third time.

"Yes mom , stop worrying, I'll be fine " I assured her as she gave me an anxious look.

" I know it's just you've never traveled this far away from home and I can't help but think of the worst scenarios " she said .

" I know mom I'm scared too but I'm not a little girl anymore." I retorted

" You'll always be my little girl , even when you're all grown up "she smiled sadly and I could see the tears falling down her cheeks.

" Oh mom stop you're going to make me cry, It's not like I'm moving away forever , just for one year thats all ." I said as I grabbed her hand.

" I love you Hailey ."

" Love you too mom "

We arrived at the airport and I could see my mom getting overwhelmed. "Mom don't worry about me, I'll be fine I promise." I said reassuringly

"Yes I know , you'll call me as soon as you land ?" She asked as she pulled me into a hug .

"Yes I will I promise." I said smiling at her worried face

"Okay so you know Linda is coming to pick you up at the airport, did you save her number ? "

"Yes mom"

"Are you sure you did check again " she said

"Yeeesss mom I'm sure " I said half irritated, she'll never stop worrying.

" Okay well I guess this is where we say goodbye " my mom said sadly as she grabbed my hand.

" I'm going to miss you sweetheart. " she said as teardrops began steaming of her face .

" Me too , I'm gonna miss you too mom " I said and I could feel the tears forming in my eyes.

At that we gave each other one last hug and I waved at her as she drove away .

Here I go

I grabbed my suitcase and walked through the sliding doors . Next stop . England baby
