The Hidden World

Chapter 1 Dec. 1st, 2016

"Go take a walk Alexa! You've been writing for hours!" My mom yelled down... wanting me to go outside... even though it's the middle of winter here. "Fine!" I yelled back up to my mom at the top of the stairs. I get up from my chair, only to realize that my back is sore. I check the time, 4:39. I've been writing for five hours... well that explains why I was able to write the full school news paper. I just need to send it to my friend, Elle, for her to edit it, add pictures and get it into its format. I'm the head writer for it, and it's fun to do.

    After remembering I finished my article, I put it in a folder and slip it into my backpack, so I can give it to Elle tomorrow. Then I grab my brown leather hunting jacket, and my leather boots, and head out my bedroom, up the stairs, and out my front door.

     My mom was right. It felt good to get out and walk. The wildlife was amazing today. The woods are my place. In the fall, I go and shoot animals with my bow. Dang, I should've brought it... We can hunt from September to January 1st. I just continue my walk.

     Then a saw a rabbit wandering around, and then it saw me. Then it ran like it is being chased by some large creature. So I followed this rabbit. It wandered into a cave. It was dark, but it was warm. It looked like people have been in there lately, so I ventured into the mysterious cave.
