Keenan's POV

We got to Chili's and next thing I know, Brianna is all up under me...again. "You should sit by me." Brianna whispered in my ear. She really don't beat around the bush, do she? I hear Sarah scoff and she crossed her arms over her stomach. Am I missing something? Derrick said that he thought him and Brianna had a thing, and I'm not about to mess up a potential friend for life over a female.

We get to our table and before Sarah could even sit down beside me, Brianna slid in the chair. "Sorry, this was my seat." Brianna said as Sarah went to sit by Derrick, and in front of me. Derrick gets up to go to the bathroom and a few minutes later, awkwardly enough, Brianna does too. I hear Sarah let out a sigh, like she was holding her breath. "You chill, SJP?" I asked as she sipped her tea. "Mhmm, peachy just like my tea." She said running a hand through her hair. "Would you consider us friends?" I asked her as she bit her lower lip. "Sure, you're pretty cool. Even gave me a cute nickname." Sarah said perking up. "Alright since we're friends, you gotta tell me wassup. And none of that bs." I said as she went back to biting her lower lip. "Do you like Brianna?" She asked leaning forward. "Like a friend? Yeah, she cool." I said. "More than a friend?" Sarah asked. "Nah, she's a little too clingy for me, plus I got someone else in mind." I said. "Why?" I continued, why did it bug her if I liked Brianna as more than a friend? "She likes Derrick and Derrick likes her, but you come here and she's changed all of a sudden. She even went as far to say that I was jealous of her." Sarah said. "Were you?" I asked as she started turning red. "Pfft, no. Jealous over what? Her being utterly possessive and clingy?" Sarah said as Derrick and Brianna came from the restrooms. "What did I miss?" Brianna asked looking at me. "Nothing." Sarah said as the waiter came by. "Are we ready to order?" He asked. "Yes. I would like the chicken bacon and ranch quesadillas." Sarah said as the waiter wrote down her order. "Would you like some more tea?" He asked as she nodded. "Can I get the same thing as her?" I asked and he nodded. "I want the Cajun chicken pasta." Brianna said closing her menu. "I'll get the Cajun shrimp pasta." Derrick said smiling over at Brianna. "Alrighty, I'll be back with your tea." The waiter says, winking at Sarah. Was I tripping or was he flirting? "He was cute." Sarah said as Brianna laughed. "Super cute, and he was totally flirting with you." Brianna said. So I wasn't tripping. Also it was weird how the tension from Brianna and Sarah lifted after that.

The waiter brought Sarah some more tea, and she smiled politely. "Oh shit." Derrick said as I followed his vision. Jason was walking to our table. Just when all the tension had died down. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be all up on Taylor?" Sarah said rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. "I invited him." Brianna said as we all looked to her. Was she crazy? Isn't it rule number 1 not to invite the ex out to a function? "So chill babe, it's just like old times." Jason said putting an arm around Sarah. Sarah immediately pushed his arm away and moved her chair. "I'm sorry, you must have me confused with Taylor." She said harshly. Even though her actions and words would make you think she really hated ole dude, her eyes gave it away. Eyes are the windows to the soul, so they say on some poetic shit. Her bright green eyes lit up whenever she saw him. Surprisingly, I wanted to make her eyes light up. To be the one who made her bright green eyes get a little brighter. Ion know if it's cause I'm feeling the vibe from Sarah or if it's cause I wanna piss off her clown of an ex boyfriend. But a girl like Sarah would never go for a guy like me. We come from two entirely different worlds. And don't get me started on her parents! You might as well call this the hood Romeo and Juliet...minus the death and shit.

Jason decided to make himself comfortable and order food as well. The entire time Sarah looked like she wanted to get up and leave. I don't blame her, this was a hot ass mess. Brianna was dead wrong for inviting ole dude but then again he is a part of their group. After a silent meal, we decided to skip on dessert and head out. Boy, I ain't never been so ready to have my black ass at home.
