Part 3

"You look stunning." Josh said.

"Paris, it seems like you forgot to mention that Josh was a vampire."

"Sorry Nana it slipped my mind."

"How could something that big slip your mind?" she said with a harsh tone.

" I think it's time to go now." Josh said.

I'm not really sure why my grandmother was offended by the fact that I didn't tell her he was a vampire. I'm don't know how to tell someone that I have a date with a vampire.

"Don't worry dear i'll put a bowl down for Sam."

"Thanks Nana." I said hugging her. She gave me a look letting me know the conversation wasn't over.

"I didn't know you had a dog?" He said helping me in the front seat of his truck.

"Yea her name is Sam and she's a golden retriever."

"I like dogs, I wish I had one." He said.

He took me to this club where on the outside it said INFERNO,how cliche, it had red and orange colors. We danced all night until my feet started hurting. It was around 12 when we finally left.

"Josh where do you live?" I asked while we were driving back home.

"I live on Hudson road, 229."

"No way! I live in 235, how come you didn't tell me that we're neighbors?" I questioned.

"You never asked." He chuckled.

"It's not funny.' I said pouting my lips.

"You're cute when you're angry." He said.

I turned my face towards the window so he couldn't tell I was blushing.

"You think I'm cute?" I said while staring out the window.

"I think you're beautiful."

We stopped outside of Josh's house and he came to open the door for me.

"Do you want to come in?"

"I'd love too."

He led me up to the front door pulled out his keys and unlocked the door.

"This is a nice place you got here." I said while looking around.

"Thank you Ms.Johnson." He said while bowing.

Things like that made me like josh even more.

We sat by the fire place just watching the flames and drinking champagne.

"So tell me about your self." he said.

"I don't think there's anything to say really."

"There must be something tell me about your family."

I don't know why but i feel safe with Josh like nothing can hurt me. I have never felt this way about a guy and it kind of scares me.

"Well my mom is amazing she's my best friend, my Nana is a very outspoken person, and I'm so grateful that I have my step dad."

"If you don't mind me asking, where's your real father."

"The sperm donor? oh yea him well I use to adore him, I use to think he could protect me from the bad guys in my life, but when I needed him he wasn't there. He had moved on he had another family in his life for 10 years, he left me vulnerable. He wasn't there to..." I started crying.

"He wasn't there to what?" Josh said while holding my hand.

"He wasn't there to stop my neighbor from raping me. I had nightmares every night, I use to scream in the middle of the night and instead of him being there it was just my mom."

"I'm sorry to hear that Paris,"

He lifted my chin up with his hand and looked me in the eyes ", I don't know how to explain it but I feel like we are meant to be together and I will never leave you alone."

Before I could think about what he said his lips were on mine. All of the sadness and anger went away as soon as he touched me.
