Red and black mist is all Lemont can see. He feels pain and then sees a blue mist pushing the red and black mist away. Suddenly Lemont is in a room and sees a figure in a cloak drop what looks like a a blue stone in a clearing in the woods

Lemont wakes up with a start."It's time for school."called his mother. Lemont quickly gets ready and is about to leave when his mother said,"Your forgetting something."his face must have shown his confusion because she said,"It's the first day of the targus."Lemont suddenly remembered what she was talking about."Ohhh, oops I forgot."The targus is a period of time that happens every twenty years and lasts five years. The soldiers come and randomly take people. Since Lemont was 17 this was his first. He was adopted he was found unconscious one day on his mothers front porch when she got home from work. He was four then. He was sent with a box with a note that said open this on the first day of targus. When he finally got to open he gasped at the beauty of a blade in there which was blue with a green line across the blade and a blue Hilt with a saphire on the bottom and there were targus clothes too. On the first day you have to wear clothing with the color of your aura. Which was the strange part these were blue with green speckled in. Probably to hide my true aura color he thought which was a beautiful white - gold color the purest possible but only two others knew about it, his best friend ,Lamar, and his uncle, Michael his two most trusted friends.
