“Ughhh.” I groaned, unable to open my eyes. “What’s wrong?” Justin’s voice startled me. “Oh, my god. Justin. You scared me.” I placed my hand on my chest. “Sorry.” He said sympathetically. “But what’s wrong?” After my heart had come down to normal pace, I tried to shrug my shoulders. “I think I’ve come down with something.” I said, wiping a bead of sweat away from my forehead. “Overnight?” He asked, pressing a hand to my head. “You have a fever.” He announced. I couldn’t open my eyes. So I tried to smile. “I feel like shit.” I moaned. I heard him chuckle, and felt his arm wrap around me. “Do you need anything?” He asked me, kissing my forehead. “Water.” I said. I managed to pull myself up and open my eyes. My head felt heavy and sore. Within an instant, Justin came back up the stairs and put a glass of water next to me. “Thanks, love.” I smiled weakly. I sipped the water. Exactly what I needed. Justin lay down next to me, staring at me. “You’re still beautiful, even when you’re like this.” He said, staring at me. I ran a hand through my knotted hair. “Stop trying to make me feel better.” I put the glass down, and sunk back into my seat. “No, it’s true.” He smiled, kissing my hand.
“You have things to do, don’t sit around here all day.” I said, taking my hand from him. “Don’t do that.” He said, pulling my hand back to his. “I have all the time in the world. You’re sick. I think that’s more important than working.” He smiled. I chuckled. “No, it’s not. But, thank you.” “Selena, yes it is.” He laughed. He pulled the blanket up to my chin, and fluffed my pillow. “Relax. I’ll call a doctor here tonight. You’ll be fine.” He soothed. I smiled and took another sip of my water. “It’s probably just the flu or something, I don’t really know. I just feel like I’ve been hit by a truck.” I groaned. Justin laughed, “Do you need anything else?” I shook my head, and searched for his hand on the bed. “I have everything I need right here.” I said, looking him in the eyes. He blushed a light pink and looked back to me. “I love you, Sel.”
