Chapter 56: Easy

On that day, James sent me to my apartment and he had lunch with us. Si Enzo nga lang ay abala pa rin sa project. Si Kelly abala sa mga tawag sa Paris at nangangamusta tungkol sa Resto at si Ara ay masayang gumagawa ng mga damit.

"This is good." He commented.

"Thanks. Natuto na rin ako magluto sa Paris." I said and placed some food on my plate.

"Wifey Material, huh." He said and laughed.

"Wife agad. Ligaw ka muna." Natatawa kong sabi.

"Well, we'll be going there soon. After some time of being my girlfriend, you'll be my wife." He said proudly.

"As if." Biro ko. Sumimangot siya bigla.

I stood up and sat by his lap and hugged him. "Joke lang!" I said. "Ayusin na muna na natin yun sitwasyon natin, ha?" Saad ko.

"I trust you, love." He said and kissed me.

"Whatever happens, if he'll get you away from me, I'll chase you. I'll do everything to have you. I won't give up this time."

My heart beated so fast and I smiled so so wide because of the happiness I was feeling.
Thank you Lord for giving me someone who loves me this way. I never thought I would have someone with me who would see my worth and love me. I lost hope on loving when we broke up but he also gave me hope to love again.

"Thank you so much for understanding, love." I said and hugged him so tight.

Suddenly, both of our phones rang.

(His phone)
Mom:
Dinner tonight! :) You, Adam, and his girlfriend Nadine.

(My phone)
Adam:
We'll be having dinner tonight. Can't wait to see you.

I thought of a reply. "I can't wait too." but then I deleted it and replaced it.

"Ano meron." I asked.

Adam quickly replied.

Adam:
Dad's coming. Magkikita na sila ulit. Though I don't get why James is with us though.

I just replied with a simple okay. Tinignan ko si James.

He suddenly spoke. "I understand that we can't tell tonight. We might spoil Mom's dinner. Darating ang una niyang asawa."

"I'm sorry, love." That's the only thing I could say.

He just nodded and sighed. "It's fine. I love you so much." He whispered.

"I love you too. So so much." I reminded him.
"Thank you for understanding our situation. Thank you for being patient." I said.

"Anything for you, love." He said.

After that, he went back to his house and did some errands. Meanwhile, I was busy contemplating about our situation. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko haharapin si Tita at Ang Ama ni Adam. I would feel guilty all night hiding about James. I would feel guilty that I didn't love Adam him romantically. I would feel guilty that I was fooling Tita.

"It's one night, Nadine. Simple dinner." I said to myself and sighed afterwards. I'm so tensed.

"As if Adam would kill James?" I tried joking but then, anything is possible.
