At midnight Sarah crept downstairs and got a cucumber sandwich, some mints and a few apples. Then she quickly made her way up to the stables "Here you go girl" she said to Starlight, giving her a mint. Then she went to tack her up saying "we are going to have an adventure, you'll see." It was harder to get on Starlight because she didn't have her fathers help, like she normally did. Finally she managed to get on Starlight and made her way to the dark wood. "Lets go girl, time to see what's in the dark wood." She said patting Starlight on the neck as she neighed. Just as she was about to enter the woods, she stopped, turning to look at the little wooden cabin she had lived in for all her life, before she turned around and went into the wood.
