Little Treasures

It was the month of March. The weather was fluctuating between warm and freezing, even thunderstorms. In the small city of Hampden, there was a small curiosity shop by the name of "Bazaar". Oh, how it drew your interests. Walking in felt a bit unsettling. You were greeted to a door with a large, glass window in it. Inside, you could already see the little treasures they had: wreaths, air plants, glass displays with different things in them. To see everything, you'd have to walk inside. You're greeted with giant animal heads displayed proudly and get a better look at the treasures.

On the wall, you saw the wreaths. You discover that they're made of human hair, specifically of deceased people from the 19th century. Next were antique medical tools: forceps, clamps, even tooth extractors. And a clump of hair from a girl named Cindy. The paper underneath read: Who is Cindy? We're not sure either. We found this at a flea market in Pennsylvania. That made you feel a bit uneasy. That wasn't the creepiest thing there. Behind you was a clown display or game (even they weren't sure) with treasures underneath. You then saw the plants from before and...baby doll heads with hair, hands, and tentacles coming out of the mouths.

Moving on, the glass displays were filled with antique devices and old pictures, things in jars, which were pretty unique, bugs encased in ember, and...books that read: Murder Can Be Fun! Okay, things were getting interesting. Behind you, more antique tools, more old photos, taxidermy animals, and...actual human skulls. The sign on the glass said: These are actual human skulls. It is LEGAL to buy and sell skulls in some states, including Maryland. They are mostly used for anatomy classes. There were also actual raccoon...penis bones? It might sound funny, but they were just there, uncovered, in a clear jar.

You turned around again. You see some rather interestingly shaped candles. You read the tag: Genital Candles. Yes, they were exactly what you thought they were shaped like. Moving on from the awkwardness, you kneel down. Porcupine quills, more taxidermy animals, more bones, and...soap made from snail extract. You won't be buying that any time soon. You saw some funny toys too, like clattering teeth and...that's about it. You get a glimpse of things next to the counter but didn't have the time to explore them.

The small shop is easily overcrowded. Already intrigued by everything, sadly you leave. You weren't buying anything anyway. You make your way out of the shop and return home. Then you see a sign that you didn't see on the window before: Please do not visit Bazaar between the hours of 6:30 pm to 5:30 am. That sign looked like it was written last minute. It made you curious. Nevertheless, you decide to listen, just to be safe.

Just as you were leaving, a group of 5 teenagers went inside. In your mind, you wondered: Did they read the sign, or rather, note on the door? Shrugging your shoulders, you return to your home.
