(Two years later)
Author's tip: I just made up the school name, I actually have no idea if it's a real place and above is a similar idea of what I have for Brooke.
Liam's POV-
I walked inside the South West school building and made my way to my assigned locker. The overall look was just how I imagined any high school would look like. Before now I've never been in an public school, you know for actual educational purposes, but anyway that's not important. Right now my mission was to look for a particular girl, one that I've seen all my life, but have never actually conversed with.
Today was just filled with firsts now wasn't it?
I threw my backpack inside and took out my binders and headed towards Mrs. Peter's first period English class. I already had the whole school mapped out, so I had no trouble walking into the class. I just so happened to be a few minutes late so when I opened the door I was met with a class worth of stares, including a rather harsh glare from who I suppose is the teacher.
"Oh why thank you for making it to class today" Mrs. Peters said in a highly agitated voice, "Who might you be and why are you interrupting my class?"
"Hello, my name's Liam, Liam Steele. Today's my first day here and I just got a little lost on my way here, my apologies for disturbing your class," I lied as I turned on the charm. I really was only late because my alarm clock decided to not wake me up this morning.
She completely changed her tone of voice, "Oh forgive me then, why don't you go sit in the open seat in the back next to Brooke. She'll be able to explain to you what we've been learning these past two weeks and help you catch up on today's assignment. Brooke could you raise your hand so Liam here could find you?" Mrs. Peters said while pointing to a girl in the back.
Though she didn't know, it was completely unnecessary for I could never forget a face like hers. Brooke Donovan, possibly the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. With her wavy, long black hair flowing down her back and those sparkly brown eyes that seem to twinkle in the light. Her creamy white skin that looks soft to the touch and her adorable freckles that spattered across her cheeks. There wasn't anything to dislike about her.
I walked towards her, as if in a trance. I sat down next to her, my eyes looking into her brown orbs , unable to look away. I'm finally here, in touching distance from her and I don't think I've ever been happier. Sadly, she has no idea who I am, but that will change from now on. I will make sure of it.
"Hello" I said as I held out my hand and awaited for hers to come within my grasp, "I'm Liam."

Brooke's POV-
Today was beginning to be the worst day ever. I woke up late and almost missed school. I didn't eat breakfast and I also didn't make my lunch so all I have to eat today is an apple I happened to grab on my way out. And as for my outfit, it looks as if I was just awoken from my year long hibernation. My hairs a mess and I grabbed whatever clothes I could find so as could imagine I didn't look too great. I would be surprised if my outfit even matched.
It's fine I told myself as long as I can get through today and forget this ever happened, I'll be fine.
I opened my book to page 182, my last stopping point, and continued to read the assigned book I was supposed to read till page 200 yesterday. Hopefully I could hurry up and finish this before we're supposed to discuss about it. As I was about to continue reading, I heard my name being called.
"...Brooke could you raise your hand so Liam here could find you?"
I was completely confused and am sure I had the whole 'deer in the headlights' look going on, so I meekly raised my hand, worried I was in trouble. When I looked up I saw a fairly attractive guy walking towards me. He had messy brownish black hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and a jawline that anyone would kill for. OK who am I kidding, he was hot! And he was walking towards me? And I looked like crap, great just great. Of course this is my luck.
"Hello, I'm Liam" the guy said in a raspy voice after he sat down next to me, holding his hand out.
I just stupidly stared at his hand, not knowing what to do. I looked back at his eyes and his kept amusement in them. Finally realizing he wanted me to shake his hand I put mine in his. His hands, though huge, were surprisingly warm and soft, but you could feel his hands had done some actual work from the calluses they had. I kind of just awkwardly looked at him, after he hadn't let go of my hand. I know it sounds cliche, but I swear I could feel tingles where he held me and by the amount of time he's spent holding on I would bet he could feel them too.
Or maybe I'm just making all of this up and he just saw me in a friendly way.
"I'm Brooke by the way and um, I'm so sorry, but I totally wasn't listening to whatever she just said," I said after I finally decided to pull away first.
"That's alright she was just explaining how I'm new and she wanted you to tell me what you guys have been learning these past few weeks," he clarified as he relaxed in his seat.
"Oh okay I can do that, so we haven't really been doing much other than the usual English things, but just last Friday she gave us this book assignment which we will working for at least the next two weeks so your not too behind," I explained.
"That's good news, I was worried I would be super behind in all my classes since I transferred two weeks after everybody had already started," he replied honestly.
"Well your in good hands since I'm a great student," I said gesturing to myself.
He chuckled," Yeah that explains why your doing yesterdays homework"
I blushed, embarrassed he noticed I was obviously trying to make up my work.
"Okay today I'm just a little off my game, but trust me I'm usually really good in class," I said trying to make it seem I wasn't some airhead.
"Alright whatever you say," he said putting his hands up in the air.
"Brooke and Liam, though I know you guys are just talking about the class, would you two mind if you finished this conversation later on your own time," she said pointedly looking at us.
"No Mrs. Peters," I said quietly.
As she began to talk about today's agenda, I saw a slip of paper being put on my desk. It read Would you mind letting me eat lunch with you today since you know I'm new and all and have no friends-Liam. I looked over at him and saw he was giving me the puppy eyes so I of course couldn't say no. I nodded my head and his eyes immediately brightened.
I can't wait until lunch!
