Chapter 13: Captured and Saved

Jessie's P.O.V (Surprise?)

As the meeting when on I sat in the back while the room was filled with failed whispers,"What's this all about?" I would be like who cares? After I failed my last mission of capturing Marcus, they sent in someone to help me, like a partner.

To be honest I felt like I didn't need one, I slipped up one, give me a break. They called my new partner Adrian, he's supposed to be the boss's son or something.

So as the I spotted the twins on the stage I started to regret this, it's like I'm on both sides at once, I didn't know when I started to fell bad for them, sure Marcus, but even Caleb too.

What if I could stop him? Hell No, I'll be dead if I did. Just watching the Twins gave me goosebumps, I had to look away when I overheard Adrian say,"You may have a twin but I have an army."

Yep, three, two, and one. The ground began to shake the ground beneath me, I had to get out quickly or I'll be under 5 feet. I sprinted out the house along with the other families, at the beginning this was all I wanted but is it possible to halfway in change your mind?

I mean I could either be a Hero or live with the guilt of killing all these people. But I had to repay the boss for how he saved my life, I was at the point of dying from bleeding but he showed up and well the rest is history.

This was one of my most difficult missions and boy was it hard. I earned a little crush on Marcus and Caleb became less annoying over time.

I looked behind me as I got out if the house just in time, the whole house was being ripped apart, they were really going through with this. I closed my eyes for a brief moment to take this all in, I hard some loud growling behind the house so as noisy as I am I ran over to check it out.

I slowly peaked around the corner and there was two rogues holding Marcus in a death right grip while tying a blind fold over his furiously green eyes.

I knew that they came here to capture Caleb but why bring Marcus into this, I saw him struggle against their hold and I was almost agreeing to help him. But as I heard a deep angry voice in my ear,"Nice right, it's all part of the plan."

I turned around quickly and before me stood the boss. His tanned skin made his bright blue eyes stand out, his body was covered with tattoos and it scared the crap out of me. He smiled proudly as he looked over at me,"Don't worry we won't hurt him, it's Caleb we need, he's just bait to lure him up."

I gulped as I noticed the two rogues tug Marcus by the shoulders past me and up the ladder. This was going to far, they can't be serious?! The boss whistled and the two goons looked down, he dug in his pocket and threw them a sharp knife,"Use that if needed."

The rouge nodded and continued to climb his way up with Marcus behind him. Who knows where Caleb could be, probably worried out of his mind. The boss's harsh voice brought me back,"Now you go on now, we no longer need your assistance." I mumbled a,"Yes sir." and went on my way.

The rogues have stopped attacking so it was less noisy but the house looked like it went though an earthquake, my feet stepped over piles of wood and steel.

I looked both ways and it was deserted, everyone must be far enough now from all this madness. I walked towards the house but I ducked behind a rock when I overheard Caleb and Adrian talking, Adiran's voice spoke," Sorry it doesn't work that way Caleb, shall we make a deal then?"

Uh Oh, why must he be so fricking annoying? Caleb replied,"What's the deal?" I looked over just an inch and Adiran was folding his arms as he smiled,"You can come with us, or we'll kill Marcus."
