"Wake up NOW!"

That single thought pushed through the dark corners of my mind. That thought echoed through my head as if it was in sheer panic, pushing my body to react. I felt pain as if a thousand needles had all at once struck me, pushing deeper into my skin. My head rattled with pain as if someone had hit me with a hammer multiple times. My legs felt as if someone had beaten them. I forced my eyelids to open, and saw a bright flash of light. My eyes began to focus on the plain ceiling that was before me. I slowly pushed myself up while also examining the rest of the room. The pain had amplified for that split second. The previous pain I had felt was nothing compared to this. The feelings of needles around my body had now felt as if someone proceeded to step on them, pushing them much deeper into the layers of my skin. The surge of pain was almost unbearable. I let out a small groan and whispered, "Where am I?"

Directly in front of me laid a medium door fit with half glass screen. To the right was a cracked TV, similar to the shape of a cobweb. Almost as if it had upset someone just enough to punch it in anger. Unlike the ceiling, the walls were painted a light brown. To the left of the door was a hospital bed with machines around it. I turned around, having my back aimed towards the door. There was a window, I walked over towards it. I put my hands on the railing of the window and look down. To my surprise, I was at least 14 stories high.

"What the fuc-"

I was interrupted by the sound of scratching of a wall. In a panic state, I faced toward the door. Through the clear screen of the door, I saw a shadow. The shadow looked human but something was wrong. From the shadows, I can see the limbs were stretched out. Longer than the average arms of a human. The neck was long and twisted. Before I had time to react, the creature threw itself at the door. The face was contorted, its neck looked as if it couldn't stay still, moving in all types of inhuman ways.

The creature wore a dark suit. Its limbs were longer than the clothing itself, almost twice as large. The monster had placed its long hands on the seals of the door and tried to push it inwards, sounding as if it couldn't support the force of the creature's arms any bit longer; that if it was struck any more times it would fall apart. The door soon began to crack, revealing a clearer sound of the ear-piercing screech coming from the monster's mouth; similar to metal being dragged on concrete. I felt a chill run down my spine. I was stuck, frozen.

How fast would the creature kill me?

Would I be strong enough to hold it off?

Before I finished those thoughts my body reacted. I quickly ran over to the bed, blockading myself to prevent it from entering. I felt light, fear had engulfed my body. This very fear had forced me to move. Just then, I heard a scratching on the tile. I pushed the bed against the door and found the creature pushing its face on the glass screen of the door. I looked into its menacing red eyes and felt my blood run cold. I watched as its eye slowly transition to a black abyss. It moved its long, thin nail to the glass and began gliding it across, while also looking at me intently. It smiled a grin that spread ear to ear, revealing its teeth. Long jagged edges with something caught in it. Something that looked like flesh...
