After the last school bell rings I find Jeremy waiting outside the door to my classroom. "Hey."

I reply with a polite, "How was your day?"

"It was good, after all I got to see you within the first 20 minutes after I woke up. And I've officially seen you do well at a game that actually requires physical activity," he quips.

I attempt to smack him for his little comment but he catches my arm and pulls me into him. All of my capabilities of breathing have left me. I like him a lot, but am I ready for this. We just met each other a few weeks ago. I don't know if I can completely trust him yet. And with that thought I back away and with him being the gentleman that he is, he let's me go.

I look down at my feet ashamed that thought even crossed my mind and continue walking to my locker. When I get there I see a note taped to it. I take the note off and then I read what it says: You think that he can protect you from me? You're mine and mine only! I won't stop until I have you back!

He didn't sign it and he didn't need to because I know exactly who this note is from. It's from Calvin. Does this mean he's back? I drop the note and quickly run to Ryan's locker hoping he's still there. My vision starts to blur and I run into a warm body.

"Josephine, what's wrong," Ryan asks as he extends me to an arms length while he holds onto my shoulders.

"I got a note. From him. Is he back?"

"I don't know what you're talking about, slow down and explain."

"I just found a note on my locker and I know it's from Calvin. Is he back?"

"I don't think so. He's with Colby in Branson so how would he even get in here."

"I'm calling Colby," I say pulling out my phone while Jeremy runs in front of me with his face a bright red. He opens his mouth to speak but I shush him when Colby answers the phone call.

"Hey Josephine, what's up?"

"Where's your brother," I grit out from in between my teeth.

"He spent the night with one of his friends last night, but I haven't seen him since. Why?"

"You guys aren't moving back though are you?"

"No, what's wrong? You sound really panicked."

"Did he say anything to you about the Fourth of July party?"

"No. Seriously, Josephine what is wrong?"

"Nothing, never mind, just forget it. Talk to you soon," I say and hang up before he can respond.

"Is he moving back," Ryan asks me.

I shake my head in a 'no' gesture, "But apparently he stayed the night with a friend last night and Colby hasn't seen him since."

"So does that mean he could be here," Jeremy asks.

"It's a four hour drive each way so it's possible, but how would he know anything about us? Justin wouldn't have been able to say anything to Colby because he didn't know about you yet."

"What's going on," Ryan asks me. I still haven't told him about the party so I understand why he's confused.

"It's nothing," I reply to him quickly.

"Josephine, can I talk to you over there privately," Jeremy asks me.

"Sure," I say and follow him down the hall.
