Chapter Fifty Two

Ah'Tarian The Palace
Six months later

Kayla sat, wishing she was alone, on the balcony watching Easley play with the kids.  Pursing her lips she turned to listen to Celeste.

"I can't believe he's moved Patricia into such a large residence!  The view of the twin suns is a sight to be seen," Celeste whined.

Nodding Kayla looked over her shoulder, "Yes it sounds nice."  Picking up her juice she sniffed it making sure none of those awful herbs were it in before sitting it back down. "Celeste, it's nice that you've come to visit."  Pasting a smile on her face she continued, "Did you want to play with the children."

Celeste turned to look at Sapphire, Layette and Lucca who were playing in the gardens and shook her head with her lips downturned.  "I don't understand why you and Lucas instance on spending so much time with them."  Waving her hands toward them she continued, "Children are such dears but they should be raised by the servants."

Kayla clicked her tongue as she stared at the cinnamon rolls that Jael Quin had sent.  "Hmm, I was raised to believe that it is the parents’ job to raise their children."  Biting into a roll she arched an eyebrow, "Maybe if you spend more time with Lucas he would be less of a tyrant."

Celeste stared at her amazed that she'd say such a thing, "So you believe Lucas is a tyrant yet you still remain by his side."  Laughing she shook her head, "I think he'd be worse if I or his father raised him."

Kayla picked up her juice and sipped it, "I believe Lucas is a spoiled child that likes toying with people."

Celeste lips turned up, "And you consider yourself a toy."  Turning to look at Lucca and Layette she giggled, "You are the best performing toy I've ever seen, Kayla."

Kayla laughed, "I wonder if he'd think so if I told him I was pregnant again."

Celeste dropped her wine glass as she stared in shock, "Are you pregnant, again?"

Kayla giggled at the lock of horror on Celeste face, "No.  I'm not pregnant.  I was just making a comment, I didn't think you'd take it so seriously."  Giggling again she looked into the empty house, "I wonder when Acadia will be arriving?"

Celeste frowned, "She should be here by now."  Rolling her eyes and waving a hand, "She likes to make grand entrances so maybe she is going to appear with smoke and lights."

"Oh," replied Kayla as she looked back down at her plate feeling nauseous.

Celeste stared intently at Kayla and jumped to her feet clapping, "Oh my goddess!"  Grabbing her hand held off the table she waved in Kayla direction, "I'm sorry but something has come up."

Kayla smiled, a little sad her unexpected guest was leaving.  She waited until she had vanished before going to play with the kids in the small yard with Easley.

Isaiah was staring around the conference table looking at the members, "Our investigation hasn't really found any information about Julius Rockefeller except for the fact that he represented himself as the tenth chair of The Alliance Council."  Looking toward Wanda he waited for her to continue with the latest report.

Sixth Chair, Wanda McKinney, pursed her lips, "Councilman Larry Knave from Dayum reported that after Lucas and Jacob's surprise visit that all information pertaining to the imposter was deleted from their system replaced with new bogus information."  Nodding toward Lucas and Jacob who sat near the head of the table, "With the improved equipment that Dayum now has we are able to remain in constant contact with them and were alerted to the information as soon as it was uploaded.
