My first day at college came way too quickly; I was having fun with Charlea and Elyar as he showed us around to area. I applied for a few weekend jobs so I could begin to earn some money. I didn’t particularly want to work in a coffee shop but I didn’t have enough qualifications to get a job in photography yet.
Charlea and I headed down into the college campus; a lot of people were walking around heading to all their different classes. Since Charlea was accepted to do History, the area of the school she was going to be working in wasn’t anywhere near mine. I was already kitted out with all my photography equipment which weighed down my bag. Charlea and I went our separate ways as I followed the map towards the classroom I had been allocated.
The room was already full of students when I walked in, a few looked up at me but the rest weren’t really interested. I took a seat at the back of the class and unpacked my camera and my GCSE work book like everyone else seemed to have done. Not many of the students were actually American, there were people from so many different nationalities in the room which made me feel a little better, and I wasn’t the only one who didn’t know anything about the area.
“Hey, you’re Connor Ball’s sister right?” A short American girl came up to me and asked.
“Er yeah, are you a fan of the Vamps?” I asked, I little shocked that she knew who I was.
“Not really, I like their music and stuff but I’m not obsessed, my sister is though. She’s convinced that you’re dating one of the boys.” She laughed, I laughed a little with her nervously hoping she wouldn’t work out that I actually was.
“I’m just really good friends with all of them, I always get asked if I’m dating one of them.” I laughed, she began to clock on to the fact that my voice was shaky but luckily the teacher walked in just in time. She sat down next to me and as the male professor called out my name a few more girls on the class turned around, realising who I was. I guess the boys were more famous than I thought. I was quizzed endlessly on my relationship status with James, Tristan and Brad as everyone seemed to be convinced I was dating one of them.
By the time lunch had come around I was shattered, I had been talking none stop about the band and seemed to be repeating the same words over and over again. Charlea and I had arranged to meet in the canteen but when I got there she was nowhere to be seen. I picked a table in the corner of the room and waited for her there whilst I called Brad.
“Hey chica,” Brad shouted happily down the phone.
“Tris gave you red bull didn’t he?” I groaned knowing hyper Brad was difficult to have a serious conversation with.
“Bitches be jealous of Tradley love” he sang but he seemed to calm down after a few seconds. “What’s up, you sound miserable?”
“I’m shattered; everyone here is obsessed with the idea of my dating one of you.” I told him.
“Well you are dating a mighty fine curly haired beast.” Brad laughed.
“As extremely sexy as you might be Brad, we’re still meant to be keeping this relationship secret in case you’ve forgotten.” I informed him lightly, we had spoken about telling the fans so many times but something always seemed to get in the way.
“I knew it” I heard someone say behind me. Charlea was stood there with the girl from first period at her side, both their eyes were on me as I froze.
“I’ve got to go Brad, I love you” Before he could say anything else I hung up and out my phone on the table. “Please don’t say anything.” I begged her.
“Don’t worry, I won’t say a word” she smiled sweetly at me before skipping off to join her friends.
“Why was she here anyway?” I asked Charlea.
