Need you Always

Chapter 5

{BELLA}

Jake drove me to the edge of the reserve, where Alice is unhappily waiting. She'd thought that I would take the ride from Mike, but I'd had to call her to let her know I was with Jake.

"God, Bella!" Alice shrieks as soon as I'm off Jakes mother cycle. "You just can't seem to stay away from this one, can you?" She asks surprisingly kindly. I smile softly.

"Watch it, bloodsucker." Jake growls. I glare at him, walking towards the line. Alice practically pulls me over, irritated I was there in the first place. "See you soon, Bells." Jake smiles.
Boy, I hope so.

"Bella, don't forget what I told you earlier." Alice starts.

"Yes, Alice. I know. Email Edward everyday. Got it." I groan. I practically fall into the house and force my black boot heals off my feet.

"Dear Lord, Bella. What the hell are you wearing?" Charlie practically demands. "Never mind. Just... Go shower, or something." I clunk upstairs on my sore feet and fall into my bed, exhausted. I strip off Alice's slutty clothes and put on sweats and a tee shirt.

I turn on my computer, and think about Edward while waiting. I still couldn't believe he was coming home. Not allowing myself much excitement, I force myself to believe that he'll only be coming home to see I'm safe. But on the inside, I'm secretly hoping he's coming back for me.

{ALICE}

After I drop off Bella, I dial Edward's number again. He picks up on the first ring "Bella's hurt?" He demands first thing

"No, Bella is fine. But some guy grabbed her butt earlier tonight. Jake stopped him and Sam threw him out, but this is just the beginning. His name is Connor. His new goal is to seduce Bella into his car, or a private place, then kill her. Where are you now?"
I can hear Edward breathing heavily on the line. I reach our white home and walk inside, immediately seeing my brother.

Dropping the phone, I run to Edward and wrap my arms around him. When I release him, I stomp on his foot. "Where the hell have you been?!" Pulling me in for another hug, Edward laughs slightly at my anger. Edward puts me down, and I notice everyone is here. Emmett and Rosalie, holding hands. Jasper, hand extended to me which I gladly take. Carlilse and Esme, both choked up but of course not crying.

"I'm here now. Alice, please tell me how I can help Bella," Edward begs me. "Rose, keep your thoughts to yourself." He grits through his teeth.
"Stay here and simply watch after her. You do realize you're better off here then away, right? You're both miserable when you're away, and she's in more danger. Please, when the danger passes, just stay." I beg him.

"We'll see," is all he says before retreating to his bedroom.
