Twenty: Picture Perfect

Realization

A week and a half has passed since Naruto's kiss with Hinata and the bet he made with Sasuke. Yet, the idiot still hasn't asked Hinata out in a date.

Even Neji gave Naruto his approval to date Hinata.

The guys of Team 7 are at the training grounds testing new jutsus. Sasuke is helping Naruto and Sai fight off genjutsus by training them with his Mangekyo.

Sai and Naruto show Sasuke Sai's Ink Shadow clones.

After about three hours they take a break.

Sasuke looks at Naruto with an annoyed expression. "Dobe. You still haven't asked Hinata out yet. Why?"

Naruto scratches the back of his head. "Neji hasn't..."

Sai interrupts, "Neji approved a week ago. Try again."

"I don't think her dad..."

"He doesn't mind. You're the leaf's hero. It'd be an honor or something like that."

"Uh...Kiba likes her..."

"Kiba said he couldn't care less. Try again."

"Uh...Hanabi..."

"She's too busy oogling over Konohamaru..."

"Ino??"

"Leave beautiful out of this."

"S...sakura??"

"Do you really want to hear the word 'SHANNARO'. I can make that happened dobe."

"Uh...uh..."

"Just admit it Dickless. You don't know how."

Naruto scoffs, "And I suppose you do?"

Sai holds up his little book, "I offered this to you from the start and yet you turned it down."

Sasuke chuckles at this.

Sai puts on a pair of glasses and licks his thumb flipping through pages while sitting Indian style. Sasuke is now on the ground rolling in tears from laughter while Naruto sits there with an eye twitch.

In his best scholar voice, Sai speaks, "Ah ha. Here we go. Boys liking Girls. When a boy likes a girl he gets a weak feeling inside of his stomach area. We call that nervousness." Sai stops and looks at Naruto. "You...you're...nervous??"

Sasuke gives Naruto the same look, "But you're not afraid of anything."

They're eyes widen at the same time, "WE FINALLY FOUND YOUR WEAKNESS!!!! WOOHOO!!!"

Naruto deadpans, 'Oh great. Now they're acting like me.'

They regain their composure. Sai asks, "Why are you nervous?"

"What if it was just a crush like the one I had on Sakura? What if she realizes that she really has feelings for someone else?"

"So basically, you think her feelings may change and you're afraid of getting hurt?"

Naruto nods.

Ino's image flashes before Sai. 'What the....?'

Sai keeps reading, "When a boy gathers up his feelings, he begins to doubt himself. That's what you're doing now dickless. However, once that boy finds the courage or proper motivation, he feels that he can overcome anything and faces his toughest challenge, asking out the one he loves."

Sai stops reading, 'Wait...I...love...beautiful?'

Naruto thinks outloud, "I love...Hinata? What? Wait...I 'love' Hinata. That's why? I'm afraid of being rejected because I love Hinata. I don't like her. I love her."

Sasuke and Sai sweatdrop and whisper to each other, "I don't know whether to be proud that he figured that out or to face palm at how long it took to figure it out." "Same."

Sasuke stops Naruto's victory dance. "So. You're finally going to ask her dobe?"

"Oh yeah!!!! Believe it!!!"

'Should I ask her? But what if she says no?'

Naruto runs off to find Hinata leaving Sasuke with an eye twitch and Sai deep in thought.

"Uchiha."

Sasuke looks at Sai who has a serious look on his face.

"I need some advice."
