"So, let me get this straight..." your friend says as they slouch in one of your kitchen chairs. "You got back into the academy, but your dad doesn't know anything, and you want to... distract him, so that I can pretend to be your dad so that you can fill in paperwork?" they ask reluctantly. They came back from their mission last night and you invited them over for breakfast. Your father went out shopping for your, rather empty, fridge which made a perfect opening for you and your friend to plan this out. "Yes." you say as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
They put their cup of tea down and close their eyes, sitting up. "That has to be the most selfish, rude, and irresponsible thing you have ever done." You look down into your lap, they were right. how could you have even thought this was remotely okay? "Let's do it!" they shout. You look up confused, only to see your best friend smiling down at you deviously. "You've never gotten into this much trouble before. I like this new you! Going behind your dad's back just to hide getting kicked out of school. This is awesome!" They exclaim excitedly. You smile too this time, knowing you can count on them.
"But I still don't know how to distract my dad." you state, getting serious again. You friend slouches in their chair again, humming as they think. Suddenly, they make a face that can only mean horror, drama, and heartbreak. "How about we send your dad to like, a strip club or something?" they say, mischief dripping from their words.
You have to stop yourself from throwing up. Your dad, in a strip club? Eww.... "That's just- No. I'm not sending my dad to a... a...." You don't even want to say it. "Strip joint?" your friend asks, completely unfazed. "It's the only way to be 100% sure that he won't-" they try to explain as your father begins to unlock the front door. He came back sooner than you thought. "Run!" you you say just above a whisper as your friend jumps over the table and quietly darts to your room. You quickly stand up and begin to wash the dishes as you father walks in. He doesn't notice your nervous face or your stiff stance at the sink since hes talking to someone. Your curiosity over rules your fear and you slowly walk towards the entrance of your home and see your father talking to a girl a couple of years older than you.
She sees you first and smiles sweetly. "Hi! I'm Yumi, I'm your new neighbor." she says excitedly as she walks over to shake your hand. "Hi?" you respond shaking her hand surprised. She was a lot nicer compared to every other neighbor you had. "Ah, yes! This is my daughter, _y/n_. She's kinda shy around new people." your father says as he walks up behind you after putting the grocery bags on the table. "My wife is out on a mission and will be for the rest of the month. So it's just us here, hopefully you can meet her when she returns. Would you like to see my daughter's garden?" Your father asks, pointing to the direction of your back yard. "Of course!" she exclaims happily as her and your father walk to the back door, and exit the house.
You take the chance to run up stairs and get your friend out before your father comes back in and sees that you had someone over without his permission. "Hey-" you say opening your door only to find your friend eating your pocky and reading one of your books on your bed. "You could have hid a little better. you know, in case my dad came to see if my room was clean or something." They just shrug, put your book down, then get up and stretch as if they had been there for hours. "So, I can let you out through the front door since my dad is showing our new neighbor the garden out back." You say as you both walk down the hall and into the den.
"Wait..." your friend stops, and so do you. "Is the new neighbor a girl?" They ask as you nod your head. "Yeah, he just brought her in." "And she was alone... With your dad?" They ask again. "Yes" you say starting to get impatient as you walk toward the door further, urging them to walk with you. "You can black mail him to do it. You don't need me. Just tell your dad that if he doesn't take you to the hokage, and fix this without saying a word, then you'll tell your mom that he's cheating on her with the neighbor." They say with a an expression on their face that seems to say 'Duh! That was the most obvious thing to do.'
"But he's not. And he'll even tell mom that he isn't." You say trying to find a flaw in your friends plan. "Who is she gonna trust? The man accused of it, or the girl and her friend who saw the girl come in and go to be alone with your dad?" they ask, knowing that you wouldn't answer. You remain quiet and stare at your friend. "I believe I've done my business here. Thanks for the pocky by the way." they laugh as they leave and close the door. You sit on the couch thinking about what they had said. It's true, you could hold this against your dad. But, will he fall for it? Will he actually give in?
~BOOM! Miracle. Okay, this chapter came a lot more different than the original script thing that me and Mrs_DeWitt decided to think of. But, I finally remembered some things and had this amazing idea as I was doing some Plant and Animal Anatomy and Physiology homework (PAPA), regardless, I hope you like it.~
