April walked around the room, packing her belongings into boxes and suit cases.
She had applied for a foreign exchange student program a few months after her mother died and they had finally accepted her.
She was going to south Korea and she had no intention of returning.
“What the fuck is this about you going to South Korea as a foreign exchange student, I never consented to it” Michael said as he burst into April's room.
“Theres this thing called knocking, you should try it, and you most definitely consented to it. You signed the form and you went with me to the school board meeting ”
April said, which was true enough Michael just had no memory of it because he had been possessed by a ghost at the time.
“Really now, why don't I remember it, explain that. I'm pretty sure you forged my signature. You're not going” Michael said.
“I did not forge your signature, and even if I did the school wouldn't accept me unless you were present for the meeting to prove that no signature was forged! Lets be real Michael, you're just worried that they're going to stop paying you.
You really don't need to worry you're still my legal guardian until next year so you'll get your money even if I'm a million miles away ” April said bluntly. Michael frowned at her and then walked out of the room. April closed her eyes feeling the hot tears of frustration brimming at the back of her eyelids, she had no idea when she had become such an emotional person.
She took a deep breath and then continued to pack up. When she was done, April decided to go out for a walk, she ended up going to the park and sat down on the bench that was a few meters away from the dead oak tree. Sometimes if she looked real hard she could see the grim reapers office, it tired her out every time she did it but April was just in the mood to feel drained.
