February 23, to March 6 of 1836,
The great battle fought.
The Republic of Texas and Mexico,
A never ending war, that they thought.Troops assault the remembered building,
Texians passing away.
Getting the courage to fight back,
The one quote, now Texans say. Those who fought for independence,
Those who fought for war.
And then those who fought for their family,
Try to let them soar.I remember the disasters,
And the pace that seemed to slow.
In the end of the church's battle,
They all shout,
"Remember the Alamo!"
