It was nightfall, the elven woman ran into the trees from what? That is unknown. Perhaps it is a man, an orc? Or would it be from herself. Only she can answer that. But our story does not start here, no. It begins in a home, just a simple one where a young girl lives. Arian  sat in her window playing her flute, the music drifting through the streets. Arian is of natural beauty her hair long and white was pulled away from her face her skin pale as snow with eyes black as a starless night. She was quite small for an elf her age, many do not understand this. Her mother was an elven princess who lost her home and family during the war between the elves and the drow. The fight was for the throne weather darkness will take over light. Arian never met her father or known of him either. She always pictured a man who was strong and tall he had black hair and green eyes. Her one wish was to find him so she can see who she was.  For now she lives off the stories of her mother and fathers travels to save the world. She called them the stories of Aoibhell* and Leonar.

“Arian, come down here please.” Her mother yelled up to her.  Stopping her music she got up and went down to her mother. She was sad because she had to stop her day dreams.

“yes mother?” she said now reaching the bottom of the stairs. She looked at her mother who had worry on her face.

“Arian, take this package to the king. It is really important. I have put aside some armor and weapons for you on this journey. Please hurry.” Her mother spoke those words to her, struggling to not tell her why . Arian looked at her confused.

“Why, what is going on?” she stared not moving for a moment then seeing her mother shake her head, she got up and ran up the stairs to the armory to get ready. Her mother laid out some leather armor for her, a short sword and a bow with one hundred arrows. She thought to herself. Isn’t this a little extreme all I have to do is get to the other side of the river? Why so heavily armed? Oh well mother means well maybe she is just worried. Shaking her head she got ready and ran downstairs adorned in weapons and armor her mother smiling at her remembering her first journey.

“Arian, you must be quick there isn’t much time left.” She said this as she pulled hair away from her daughters face leaving half down and the rest in a braid. She then placed a light chain tiara upon her daughters head the jewel hanging perfectly center between her eyes. The jewel was blood red, and was the color of her family. Arian looked at her mother, kissed her cheek smiled then ran off. Upon leaving her house Arian looked back getting a full glimpse of her home before she ran off.

Drazen was out in the armory practicing his archery when he heard them, the soildures were shouting about a girl at the gates. He put his bow and arrows away quickly and  ran to see what was going on. When he reached the gates the captain was walking a young girl through she was no more then nineteen and she looked badly injured. “Captain, here let me take her to my father.” He said running over to them and taking the girl up into his arms. The captain just nodded respecting his wishes, Drazen then started walking into the castle to his father’s study. He knew that’s where he would be as he reached the door the guards stoped him.

“Let me through I must see my father” he states to them. They looked at him nodded then opended them once they saw the condition of the girl. “Father, she just reached our gates, something attacked her.”

“Drazen, she looks quite armed how could she have gotten this injured. Who found her?” the king looked at her, the girl opened her eyes and looked at him. She struggled to say something while slowly reaching into her pouch pulling out a small pakage and handing it to him. The king looked at her taking the small pakage then nods. “Drazen take her to the doctor here she needs medical attention and do not leave her side.” Drazen nodded then walked out walking quick to take her to his room telling the guards to get the doctor there right away. Once he got to his room he laid the girl down and carfully removed the armor on her body leaving just the tunic that was under to cover her.
