One Love

Ryu's Secret

These next few chapters will be short and hopefully sweet.

Ryu spent most of the day clearing out Harry's cottage so that the man would feel comfortable going home. Though if Ryu had his choice he would move Harry into the guest room to have him closer. These thoughts scared Ryu but were also intriguing. He had a feeling that he was falling for the green eyed man.

By the time Ryu was done he was physically and mentally drained. All he wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep. When he reached his back porch the man he had spent most of the day thinking about was sitting down at the table with two drinks sitting in front of him.

"I just want to say thank you for all of your help Ryu." As he handed him a drink. "I should have been able to do that myself."

"Your welcome Harry." Said Ryu as he sat down "I wouldn't expect you to do that. You are not to blame for what another person did to you."

"I..." Harry tried to speak but Ryu put his hand up to stop him.

"Harry he took advantage of you." Ryu started "I just hope that it didn't change the man I hired. I didn't just hire your for your strength or your magical ability."

Harry looked at him a bit confused.

Ryu laughed at the look "Yes it has a huge part of why I did. The other reason I hired you is because of your heart, and your willingness to fight for what you believe is right." Taking a deep breath Ryu continued.

"I read up on you before I said yes to hiring you. I didn't care about the hero shit. From what I read there were a lot of heros. I cared about what you did for families, for your friends, and those that fought against you."

"I did what anyone would do." Harry said looking into his drink.

"No you didn't. I can't think of one person who would have testified at a Death Eaters hearing to keep them from being locked up. You did." Ryu took a drink and continued. "You helped people on both sides of the war and to me that is beyond amazing."

Ryu decided at that moment that he needed to make Harry blush more often. Harry looked beautiful.

"Thanks boss. That actually means a lot to me especially coming from someone who I work for." Harry stammered out as he continued to blush.

"You're not used to Compliments are you? Well you need to get used to them. I haven't been giving you enough and that needs to change." Ryu smiled.

Harry smiled and scooted his chair back preparing to leave.

"Again thank you Ryu for all you've done for me over the last week and more so today. It means a lot that you're willing to help me out so much." Walking over to Ryu Harry scrounged up some Gryffindor courage and placed his hand on Ryu's  shoulder.

"It really does mean a lot to me and I need to start saying thank you more often." Then giving him a friendly squeeze Harry headed towards his home.

Ryu could feel the shiver Harry gave him move its way down his spine. The man definitely had an effect on him. Ryu needed to figure out his feelings for the beauty walking away. The only person he could think of asking and talking to was Hermione.

'I think it's about time I sent her a letter to let her know how Harry's doing and to see what she thinks.' Ryu mussed to himself.

After seeing Harry walk into his cottage and making sure he would be ok, Ryu got up and headed towards his bedroom desk to write a letter to Harry's best friend.

Dear Hermione,

I'm writing you to let you know that Harry is doing very well. We had a bit of an incident yesterday. Gambit's magical presence was still prevalent within Harry's home. So he spent the night in my guest room while Severus and I came up with spells and charms to protect the home and to get rid of the unwanted presence. He seems to be thankful and relieved when I saw him walking into his home just now. I am sure he will be writing to you soon to let you know how he is doing.

Now for a more personal situation on my part. I feel that I may be falling for your best friend. Now, I would hope you would refrain from using the "I told you so" and just hear me out. I don't know what to do. I have been with many people but I have never had feelings like I do with Harry. It scares me. So being that you know Harry so well how would you advise me to handle this. I hope you can help me out in this situation. I am looking for advice to help me make a decision on whether to pursue or not to pursue. I know you told me I need to tell him the truth and if I decide to move forward with Harry, I will. But until then please keep my little secret, just that, a secret.

As soon as Ryu was done writing the letter he tied it to his owl and sent it off. He didn't want to second-guess himself and not send the letter.

He slowly got ready for bed and continued to analyze what he was feeling for Harry. If he was going to be honest with himself, he would have to admit that these feelings have been dormant for quite a while and seeing Harry again had brought them out of hibernation. Again if he was going to be honest, he has to admit that he has had feelings for Harry James Potter since his days at Hogwarts.
