I slumped down in the car, not wanting to go back to my tiny little hometown of Zabrow,Colorado. I have to go back because my parents said it was "too dangerous" in New York, I suppose they're right, there's barely enough space to have a picnic, much less go for a run in wolf form. My mother and father both work for a big toy company in New York, so I will be staying here on my own, nonetheless, I'm still not happy about it.
Every person has a different ability in wolf form, it can range from great eyesight, to teleportation, like I said, it veries, depending on the wolf. You find your ability when you find your mate, so I have yet to figure out my ability. As a seventeen year old, it's not a big deal to not have your ability or mate; I just get so impatient, I seem to convince myself I will be a powerless, lone wolf.
I wake up from my daze to a screech and fly forward in the cab. "We're here!" The gruffy old taxi driver mumbles. I hop out of the cab and pick up my bag that were scattered across the grass when the Taxi driver tossed them out. I look around and take in my surroundings. I'm standing in front of the beautiful cabin my parents bought me when they said I was to move down here. The cabin is two stories and very modern, with glass panels on the sides. It has a large backyard with a pond with a small to medium sized waterfall that dipps off into a very large river. I smile; maybe this wont be all bad!, I think while walking inside. I look down the hallway and see that it opens up into a large living room with a stone fire place. I look to the right and see a bar that opens up to a kitchen.
I walk up stairs and wonder about. I soon realize that there are four bedrooms on the top floor, each with there own bathroom. I set my bag down in the master bedroom and my mouth drops open when I see nothing in the room but a credit card and a note attached.
The note reads "Millie, we left you this credit card because we didn't furnish the house outsells thinking you wanted to decorate the house according to your style. The credit card has plenty of money to furnish the entire house with a bit left over to get your started until you can find a job -Mom and Dad"
Well, this should be fun.
