It's been days since my father let me get out the room. Days since I ate, days since I've seen the beautiful sun and days since I got to see Alex or my mother.

I start to remember that I still had my phone in the secret pocket of my jacket. I scrimmage over to my jacket on the other side of the room on top of the bed and grab my phone to see I got 24 new messages. Some were from my mom & some from Alex.

Alex said :

ABBEY!

WHERE ARE YOU?

ARE YOU OKAY?

ABBEYYYYYYYY!

IM STARTING TO WORRY.

HMU OR CALL ME ASAP ONCE YOU GET MY MESSAGES.

There was more but it didn't matter. I just wanted to get out of this place! I quickly replied to her & said:

CALL 911! HURRY!

As I hear the doorknob turn, I quickly hide my phone & act like I am sleeping to avoid suspiciousness. Suddenly the person in my room pulls the covers off from me and yells:

"GET UP!"

It turned out it was Brandon. My first thought was that he was going to rape me because of his tone of voice but then he saw the scared look on my face and said:

"Hurry. Before your father comes. I'm trying to help you escape. It's now or never, now get up."

I follow him out the barn into the unfamiliar fields of the place we are at. He leads me into his mini van and hides me in the back.

"Hurry, get in! I'll explain everything on the way!"

I follow his directions because the only thing on my mind is my mother and Alex and how happy I am to see them again for the first time in what feels like forever.

"Okay. I know I look pretty guilty considering the fact that I helped your dad with your kidnapping, but believe me. I saw him snatch you away at school and I knew he was your father. I decided that if I joined in to help him, I would help you escape at one point and I'll save you. Please believe me." Brandon states.

"I do. Don't worry. Have you told anyone about this? And why didn't you contact the police?!" I replied.

"I didn't have the chance to." Before Brandon has the chance to say something else a truck appears out of no where and hits us. I feel pressure as if we are falling from a bridge into a river. Turns out it was true. I thought I was going to say my first hellos in a long time to my loved ones, but I'm not even going to say my last goodbyes...
