"Rule number one: The employee should give birth to a boy. If it's a girl, try again. If it's still a girl, the contract will end."

Ano ba naman kasing solusyon sa problema niya 'to? Ang dami daming ibang babaeng pwede niyang kontratahin, bakit napapayag siya nang wala sa oras sa babaeng 'to? For all he knew, katulad din ito ng mga babaeng pera at katawan lang ang habol sa kanya at kung hindi pa masiyahan ay gagamitin ang magiging anak niya para itali siya sa kasal na hindi niya kailanman gugustuhin kung hindi niya naman mahal.

Chace let out a deep sigh. Kalma, Chace. Kalma pa.

He cleared his throat then started reading the second rule.

            "Rule number two: During the duration of the contract, the employee cannot enter into a relationship with another man."

"Of course! That's why I'm here. Kaya nga ako makikitira sa bahay mo, di ba? Para masigurado mong iyo ang ipagbubuntis ko? Earth to Chace? Hello? Seriously???" She even made a play of snapping her fingers in front of him, groaned and then rolled her eyes off him.

Chace didn't say a word and just watched her with blazing fury in his eyes. His brow was pulled into a hardened line, his mouth was flattened into a line of disapproval.

"For fuck's sake, woman! It is you who obviously needs my money so why can't you just shut the fuck up?!"

Tumayo siya at inihagis sa coffee table ang kontrata. Sinasagad talaga siya ng babaeng 'to.

            Pero mukhang hindi ata tinablan sa reaksyon niya, nagpatuloy lang ito sa pagsasalita.

"Second, kung bukas na bukas, e, makakapagluwal ako ng anak mo, aba, bukas na bukas din I'll make myself out of your sight."

Was this woman for real? Couldn't she see the fire burning in his eyes? Couldn't she see that he just lost the last thread of his patience? Was she really that dense or was she just enjoying infuriating him?

"And lastly, I'm not into boring men, like ob—viously—"

Right after hearing the part of 'boring men', he immediately stormed in front of her and cornered her onto the couch. His arms on both of her sides, caging her against the couch. Their bodies weren't touching but were close enough to feel the heat of her body, his mouth just a few inches from her he could feel her breathe.

Kung ibang babae 'to, malamang nagpakita na ng takot dahil sa naging reaksyon niya at sa galit sa mga mata niya. Pero itong babaeng 'to? Walang katulad sa lahat ng nakilala niya.

Naningkit ang mga mata ni Chace. Hindi niya alam kung bakit kayang kaya nitong pag-initin ang ulo niya.

He didn't know why she was so quick to judge him when nobody ever did before. He didn't know why she was so quick to insult him when nobody ever fucking dared before.

All he wanted to do was make this maddening woman shut up and if intimidating her wasn't the way to do that, then he might just ought to find another way.

"Obviously what?" he challenged.

            "Obviously, I'm not into your likes," she proudly answered, not fazed by the closeness of the two of them.

He gave a dry laugh. "Yeah? I bet that attitude is just a mask. Sa una aarteng walang gusto, pero pag nagtagal, hahabol-habol na."

Women. They were all the same.

            "Tanga ka talaga, 'no? Di ba nga, may rule na one million and nothing but the million? Ano'ng hahabulin ko sa'yo? 'Yung totoo, joke ba 'to?"

            Nagtagis ang mga bagang niya dahil, fuck, may punto na naman ito.

Nagkamali yata talaga siya sa pagdala sa babaeng 'to sa bahay niya. Nagkamali yata talaga siya na ito ang hinire niya. Pero mas lalong nagkamali yata siya nang dumapo ang mga mata niya sa mga labi nito dahil naramdaman na naman niya ang pagsikip ng pantalon niya.

Fuck it all to hell. Nasisiraan na ata talaga siya ng ulo. He was fucking mad and fucking turned on at the same time. All because of this infuriating woman in his arms.

            "Kung sino pa'ng gumawa ng kontrata, siya pa'ng malabo. Boring na nga, mahina pa," bubulong-bulong na sabi nito nang hindi nakatingin sa kanya.

Noon niya lang ibinalik ang mga mata niya sa mga mata nito. Salubong ang mga kilay na pinakatitigan niya 'to.

            "What did you just say?"

Who the fuck did she really think she was insulting him every chance she could get?

Tinignan siya nito nang diretso. "Alin? 'Yung malabo ka o 'yung boring ka? O baka naman 'yung mahina ka? At 'wag ka, lahat 'yun inulit ko na, ha? Isa pa?"

            Lalong nagtagis ang mga bagang niya. Talagang pinupuno siya ng babaeng 'to.

She should have known when to fucking stop. She should have taken a good fucking look at him to know better than to goad him some more.

Because right the fuck now? The heat and anger he felt were almost overpowering.

            "Do you have any idea what I'm about to do to you right now?"

"Oh, no. Must I scream for some help? You're going to kill me, aren't you? Oooh, I'm scared." She didn't even bother acting, she just looked at him tauntingly.

            Pasensyahan, pero napuno na siya.

            "Wrong. This."

And then he kissed her.

Damn right, he did.

Smart fucking trick.

Because the woman finally shut up.
