I will get you and your lion too

I was chasing the blue lion hoping to win this race. I guess I should explain how this started.
~flashback~
I was exploring a new part of my packs territory when a blue lion came out of nowhere and suddenly ran right past me. Thinking this was a challenge I ran after it.
~end flashback~
The lion stopped abruptly so, when I stopped I started sliding and hit the back of the lion's foot. I got up and walked around smelling it's feet when a guy walked out. He looked to be about the same age as me, he had tan skin, brown hair, and blue eyes. He walked over to me and stuck his hand out towards me so, I sniffed it and man it smelled nice. He began to pet me, his warm hand against my soft fur felt nice. "hi there my name is lance" he said, lance, man even his name is beautiful. "hi lance i'm dahlia" I said but all he heard were barks because wolves don't talk. "you don't have any sort of name tag" he said with a frown "how about you come live with me and I will give you a name!" he said happily as I barked in agreement. "hmm...what should I name you?...ooo how about darling" he said. "darling really..." I said but, he only heard barks again "alrighty then, darling it is" he said. 'I'm not responding to darling' I told myself "let's go to your new home darling" he said and began to walk to the front while I just sat next to one of the lion's paws because I won't respond to darling. "darling come on girl" he yelled and I couldn't resist so I decided I would respond to darling. I ran to where he was and we got in the blue lion then we flew to my new home.
