Fear.

Your forehead was covered in sweat, your cheeks boiling, dusted in a pink hue. Clenching your teeth nervously, you looked around the dark hallway.

You heard something earlier in the middle of the night, making you absolutely paranoid. Alone at night, you couldn't comprehend who could've made the noise.

You squeeze your sweating fists tightly, swiftly shuffling towards the direction of your bedroom. Grabbing your doorknob, you almost slip your hand against the cold metal, almost instantly shutting the door.

Sighing in relief, you wiped your palms on your shirt, walking to your bed. Crawling under the sheets, you smile in ease, closing your eyes slowly.

But as soon as you were about to fall asleep...

..You heard giggling across the room.
