Chapter 1
Life is hard with a little sister too curious for her own good, an overprotective Mom, A go with the flow Dad, A red squid, and it is all on one submarine. We were born to be explorers born to live in the sea.I feel the rocking of the waves as I wake up. I jump up and get dressed. I look into the mirror to see that same old face looking back at me. My Common brown hair and my bright ocean blue eyes. My Shark Tooth necklace looped around my neck from a rare aluminum found at the bottom of the ocean. My blue and green wetsuit never leaves my body during the day. My tennis shoes lay in my closet corner collect dust. I walk into the kitchen the holo-calender it said in big blue letter and numbers April 1st, 2345. Today was my favorite day. Dive Day. Every four months we come up to re-supply food and repair the ship. The last three days was grinding Jake carry this, Jake tighten that, Jake do this, Jake do that. Now I just wait. Wait for the waves to collapse over the sub. Abigail walks in her 10-year-old face shines with her golden brown hair and her grass green eyes. The smile that was permanently stuck to her face made the whole room light up when she walks in. " Hey Jake, Mom wants you to take the sub down to the twilight zone." Her soft gentle voice softens the blow. "Me!!! I can't even drive the ship how am I supposed to dive it." I scream in a worrisome voice. My head throbs with my thoughts banging against the side of my skull. I slowly walk to the control room. When I push the big white door open I see the giant curved floor to ceiling window.
