Do not look for me,

I am not there.

A thousand men could try to see me,

a thousand of them would not care.

Lakes and cities will carry on,

blizzards will call and waves will sail,

none of them will see me;

I will not leave a trail.

The sun will set and the moon will rise,

the stars will glisten and the sky will still not cry.

Earth will spin, the universe will glide, nothing will see me,

not even I.

When the day is gone,

when the night is done,

the sky will cry out,

through the eyes of the clouds.

The ground will not shake,

the stars will not fall,

planets will not collapse,

gravity will still pull.

Do not look for me,

I am not there.

You will not see me,

you will not care.
