Part-1

'Elly, I know you have the last book of the Author Jang's. Aren't you going to lend it to me?' asked me as i entered the room and jumped into her bed.

This girl is a significant influential book-freak, her bookshelf is full of novels and 'how-to' books, she practically learns everything including love from the book rather than real life experiences. A hopeless romance as we both are.

Elly lives with her older sister, Wennie, but her sister is not frequently home as she is a fellow doctor now, she often goes for internship far from home for like a month or two at a time. Hence, Elly is rather living alone just like me coming here all alone and by myself.

'Of course, I do. It's the last piece that would tell you the mysterious intention behind the acts of the male lead, Josh. And nope, you're not gonna get to read it freely since it's not easy to get that limited book, you know it so that I had to line up like 5 hours to get it.' proudly said her.

Elly, the girl I met years ago in secondary school. We went to the same class, took the same bus to school, and are on the same age. We were just mostly like acquaintances, not closed, not anything. She was always the outstanding one among all of us. Yet, time flew, secondary ended in like seconds, we had lost contact of almost everyone from that class. However, one day after I have arrived the city to further pursue my studies, she was here too. We met again at the campus of my school. Soon after, I have learnt that we were undertaking the same major, what a coincidence, DIS (Die In Studies, joking, it means Department of International Studies), but different university though, she went to the private one while I was going to the public one. Immediately, we became closed as if we were before, she would talk to me when she feels down, tell me stories when she's in a good mood. This girl cries often over the useless things, but well, I have always been there during all her useless moments.

'Oh come on, I have already finished the sixth book, I need the last book to put all the puzzles now.' desperately begged me. 'I'll treat you to your favorite ice cream shop, cool?'

'eww, no. That's not worth it.' My offer got rejected now.

'So, what do you want?!' This girl is really a psycho, she knows I am not that patient, still she keeps teasing my limitation every fucking time!!

'Haha, keep calm. You will get to read it but under one condition.' the businessman ghost possessed in Elly again. She can't quit that freaky trading habit of hers, guess it's running in the blood, that's what I hate most about that girl.

'Say it, what's it?' As desperately as I am to read that book, I am willing to agree all her conditions, because, well, I've reached book 6 already, nobody is going to stop me from finishing the puzzles of the story!

'Go on a blind date for me.' Said her.

'Watt?! You must be kidding me.' Shocked with wide eyes and rising eyebrows of mine wanted her to repeat herself. I must have heard her wrong, she couldn't have got set up for the blind date, she's too nerd for that.

'The blind date that was set up by my family. The guy is the son of my father's friend and I can't ditch him, so you must help me out.'

'Why don't you go and meet him a bit? Then just politely reject him right away.' told me.

'It's tomorrow, and I can't, I have already bought the ticket of Author. Jang's fan meeting, it is 40 bucks! and i really really want his signature on his last masterpiece, you know' Elly is really a book-freak, she never missed any fan meeting of the authors held in this town.

'Ahh, I see your point now, but won't he know that I'm not you?'

'Nah, just go, we never met, and I heard he doesn't really care of that either. The elders are thinking of marrying him off as soon as he finishes his internship. By the way, he was the former IBM student at your university. You might have run into him sometimes, but no worries, the rumor said he's the icy prince, he doesn't seem to care of others, but he's good looking though. Just go as the schedule and stay till the date is over, that's that. And who knows, you might gain a boyfriend back, haha.' teasingly said her.

'Eh, I'm not ready for any commitment, don't drag me there ! And we've just started our internship this year, why would you dad hurry to marry you off? It's not like we are going to the museum anytime soon.'

'I know, I know. Just go and see, we are too nerd for that, but you're more approachable than me. And I know, right? We are and look too young for this shit.' Annoyingly said Elly.

'Haha, our ages are just small numbers, but our faces, god knows, are too old to be 22. Anyway, I'll go then.'

'wow, agree so easily like this is not like you,' doubtfully teasing me.

'now you want me to help you out or no? I want to see how the guy looks and also i have to finish the last book too. Bring me the book tomorrow after the date is over.'

'Hahaha, deal, hope you gain the boyfriend back, you nunny.' Oh look at what she called me, as if she's not like me when we are practically leading the same life line.

'By the way, what's the guy's name?' i hopefully asked.

'emmm....name?'

'damn you, Elly. Don't tell me you don't know the name of the boy you were going to meet!'

'sorry, my dad told me the name too, but i wasn't interested so i didn't care to listen. But, you just go as the promised place and time, then look for the handsome guy with the icy glare, he went to your school too, you might feel familiar.' told Elly with strange look, i could feel the weird feeling, but probably it's her feeling guilty.

'You are really hopeless, Elly. Okay, okay, it's so late now, I gotta run. See ya tomorrow night after the date ends.' I told her as I hurry left the room.

'Okay, take care and dress nicely for the date, Helyne.'

What do you think? What would happen on the date? Will Helyne be revealed by her so-called date right away? Or will the guy be fooled by her fake identity? Is it going to be a successful mission of Helyne or nah?
