Since the announcement about the dance not being cancelled, there was a certain person who seemed to want to annoy the hell out of Mara.

That person being the known, Reggie Mantle.

His constant bugging of asking Mara to go to the dance with him was tiring and Mara just wanted to focus on her music. Was that so much to ask?

"Mara! Wait up," Reggie yelled from behind her.

In her mind, Mara was breaking into a sprint. In real life, Mara turned around and waited for him. It wasn't easy for her to do.

Catching up to his beloved girl, Reggie grinned, slowing down to match Mara's speed.

"Will you go to the dance with me?"

"No."

"Will you go to the dance with-"

"No."

"Will you go to the-"

"No."

"Will you go-"

"No!"

"Will-"

"Reggie, for Gods sake no! I won't go to the dance with you," Mara exclaimed, frustrated.

After a moment, Reggie scoffed, ignoring his hurt feelings. "Whatever," he murmured. Sighing, Mara thought for a quick second before turning to him.

"I'll give you one dance. If," Mara continued, "you stop pestering everyone. Including Jughead Jones."

Immediately, Reggie agreed. He knew it was going to be the best he could get out of her.

The thing is, Mara didn't exactly know who Jughead Jones was personally, but she's seen him around and there was something tragic about him. She could feel it, and she thought that maybe this deal would not only make her life easier, but his as well.

"I am playing half the time though," she had reminded him. He just nodded, extremely excited. It was etched onto his face, you could see how happy he was. Mara couldn't help but smile. He was being adorable and pleasant for once. How could she not cherish the moment?

Reggie fake gasped, his hand flying to his chest. "You're being nice to me?" Reggie teased. She rolled her eyes quickly as if she didn't want to be caught. "C'mon, you like me," Reggie prompted, poking her arm.
