The lightning struck again, filling the room with a brief flash of light. Then I saw it, standing in the corner. Tall, almost pitch black, a pale-white face with a long, ear to ear grin. Teeth of razors with two holes for nostrils and small beady eyes that you could feel piercing through you at any time. The room went dark, but I could still faintly see him standing there. His smile and pale face were almost obvious in the darkness. In hindsight,  I should have done something. Wake up Jill, try to ignore it and sleep, anything but keep fucking looking at it. Because now, I cant get that face out of my mind. I see it everywhere. In the corners of my eyes, behind me in the mirror, in the darkness when i sleep. He doesn't go away, he's stalking me. Like i'm prey and he's the predator. At least, that's what i thought at first. After some time it became clear who he was after. Not me, but my pride and joy. My biggest accomplishment, my son. I somehow managed to sleep that night. Though, i'm not entirely sure when i fell asleep or where the dream began. At first, I just thought it to be an awful nightmare. I woke up late in the afternoon that next day, my wife had left for work, and Bradley was out in the back yard, playing with the "Spencer" I still saw him as nothing but fiction. The dream was terrifying to say the least, but i saw it as nothing but that; a dream. That is, until my son threw a baseball in the woods, and shortly after it came right back.
