Brandon's P.O.V

I jogged, breathing roughly. Though I did have a fit body for my age, my stamina has always been the worst.

I ripped the white plastic cap on my water bottle, chugging it down quickly. Exhaling, I wiped my lips.

In the corner of my brown eyes, I saw a small flower, with its shadow laying on the cement floor. I smiled, pulling my iPhone out of my back pocket.

Snapping the picture from the best angle, I played around with my editing filters. Till I was satisfied with the best filter, I opened Instagram.

I clicked "Share", nodding my head in approval. Once I pushed my phone back into my pocket, I continued jogging to the nearest Panera restaurant.

"Guys, just..." Jessica whined, looking the three boys.

We all chuckled.

"We're just teasing you, bunny" Justin said.

"Ya, calm down." I added.

Her slim cheeks puffed up, making her look like a chubby rabbit. As she glared at us all, she jumped up from her seat.

"Nnnnooo, come back." Justin yelled like a three year old.

"No, you hurt my fweeling." Jessica said, speaking in her baby accent.

Skye and I rolled our eyes, finishing our pizza.

"I was kidding, babe. Forgive me?"

"Hmm, let me think about it. How about, no." She said glaring at his blue eyes.

Justin and Jessica both decided to start dating out of nowhere. I wasn't sure if it was out of lust, or they actually cared for one another. All I knew is that Skye was heart broken. I feel bad for the poor dude, but he found someone else.

They've gone a couple of dates, but Skye isn't as drawn to this "mystery man" as he was to Justin.

Pushing my thoughts to the back of my head, I sipped on my water.

"Hey Brandon, when are you leaving to Philadelphia again?" Skye spoke up, looking at the arcade not too far from our table.

"Five days, why?" I ask.

"Oh no reason, I'm gonna miss you." He smiled.

"Me too man, but I get to see my princess. To be honest, I've never done something like this. I mean, I have left the state but not for a girl."

The group chuckled.

"You're too much of a hermit to do such shit. But it makes sense. We will all miss you, bro." Justin says.

I stare at him, narrowing my eyes slowly. But laughing at the same time.

The group standed up, moving toward the small arcade. So, I followed.

"Guys, do you have a couple of spare dollars on ya? I'm short on some." I say, looking through my black leather wallet.

My friends stared at one another, ravaging through their own wallets.

Jessica handed me two extra dollars, and Skye handed me a ten dollar bill.

I grinned, taking the rest of the given money. Shoving it into the black machine, as it threw up dozens of coins.

My friends looked at, waiting for me to hand them some.

"Oh c'mon guys, why do I always have to do everything?" I whined.

Jessica sighed, punching my shoulder.  "Stop acting like a baby, and hand over four of them."

I pouted, handing four of the small gold coins to Jessica.

I closed my bathroom door, as I turned on the faucet to my bathtub. Once the water was warm enough, I closed the small drain with plastic beige cap attached to a silver chain. While the water filled the tub, I removed my clothing, pulling out a towel and bath bomb.

Yes, I was aware I am male. But who said bath bombs were feminine?

Turning off the flowing water, I slowly dumbed my purple and gold bath bomb into the clear water.

It fizzled at the interaction with the liquid. As the purple and gold mixed through the white tube.

I stepped into the small tub, as I grabbed my phone in a waterproof case.

I decided to take a photo of my legs, mixed in with the various colors.

I nodded my head in satisfaction.

After a couple minutes of reading and writing. A notification popped on my screen.

"LucyFizzy"

I didn't know whether to smile or to frown.

I haven't spoken to her since I confessed I had fell for her. But, it was understandable.

LucyFizzy: "Hey Brandon, I'm so sorry I haven't messaged you. It was, it was just a lot to take in. But, I've composed my feelings. I did fall for you, and hard. And still feel the same way, but I don't know if this long distance relationship will work out."

I frowned at her response, it was her way of rejecting me, but I wasn't going to give up.

I had already bought a plane ticket, and made reservations to stay for two weeks, in Philadelphia.

Me: "It's fine, as I said before. It's completely understandable. Anyways, how are you princess?"

LucyFizzy: "Haha, I'm good. Just tired, how are you?"

Me: "Im doing okay, I'm happy to know you haven't ignored me permanently, lol."

Damn...ours conversations are awkward..

LucyFizzy: "Lol, sorry. It was just a lot to take in."

Me: "Princess, I get it. I would feel the same way, just let me know when you want to Facetime. :)"

LucyFizzy: "💕💫"

~~~~~~~~
Our conversations never got deeper than five minutes. She was either busy or had to go to sleep. Though, I felt the true reason why because she didn't feel the same way.
Maybe she did, but she never expressed herself. It was like, a robot everyday, every hour, every minute..was typing messages for her.
She wasn't the same...
But there's not much time left till I see her.
At this point, I'm not sure if she'll be either excited or upset, I surprised her.
Or maybe...disappointed.
That I'm..not good enough.
Hey guys. So, I have been having this thing called "writers block". And I'm sure most authors/writers understand. That's why, I haven't updated in a while.
Anyways, I hope to find more inspiration. 🙏
